My dr. told me NO MORE shakes after surgery also. He said that shakes won't hold you as good as solid foods. But as of today, I've decided to drink a protein shake for breakfast because I have been doing without breakfast in the mornings and by lunchtime I'm starving. I 'm sick of eggs. And I think the protein shake might keep me satisfied til lunch. I know some of you might think that i need to follow the dr. orders,but I had my surgery 9/5 and barely lost 10lbs waiting on the dr. to fill me enough.(that's another story). So, I don't think a protein shake would hurt! Right?

I just ordered th sample pack I hope it doesn't take to long to come in. I can't wait to try them!!

I understand exactly how you feel, I have been doing the same thing for 2 months. The only difference is you are still losing weight. I have been "dieting" for the last 2mths. waiting for my dr. to fill me enough so I wouldn't be so hungry. But all I can tell you is to call your dr. and be straight with him and let him know that you are still hungry. He is something like my dr., if you lose weight, he won't give you much of a fill. If I gain weight then I can get a fill. But it's tough sticking with this and you still feel hungry. I really understand you. But i really think you should call him and let him know how you feel.

I feel really bad, I was banded 9/5/07 and only lost 5lbs. I have been very patient with my dr. but he is really getting on my nerves. I got a little restriction on 11/12/07, and hoping that it will finally give me enough restriction to lose the weight. He doesn't tell his pateints how much fill he puts just to be patient. and I have, but reading this thread is fustrating!

I have had 4 fills already, and still hardly any restriction. I am fustrated at times, but don't give up!! I'm not sure of how much restriction I will have after this last fill but I hope it's better than last few times. I was banded 9/5/07

How many fills does it take before you feel any restriction or lose any weight? Most of the people on these threads have lost weight since there surgery, not me! Had surgery 9/5/07 and haven't lost any weight since. Is something wrong with me? I feel so alone with this. It seems that even if you all are not restricted your still losing something. Please someone help!! And I am eating the right foods. But does anyone have some advice on what foods work for you. And yes, I know were all differt, but it's just advice. :whoo:

Yesterday was my first day feeling some kind of restriction after 2 months and 3 fills, I ate a piece of chicken and it got stuck "for the first time" I didn't know what to do. I realized at that moment that I FINALLY got some restriction. I was so happy that i finally threw up!! Is that crazy or what? Anyway, I go for a fill monday coming and I can't wait to get a little more restricted!!!:clap2:

I'm not losing, but I am eating a "little less" than I was which for a banderster is still alot. This is my fist time feeling any kind of restriction, but diffently not enough!!

I don't have to pay for the fills up to a year, then I have to pay. Do you thinkl the dr. is holding out on me??

I have the 10cc and I have been filled 3 times. NO resriction whatsoever!!! Would the 4cc be better? And I heard the 4cc don't have to get filled for awhile after being banded. Is this true?

I have been going every week for three weeks.

Who said anything about changing bands. I went to through to much for that. I just was wondering if it would take mor time because it was a 10cc. And besides that I self paid and I wouldn't waste another dime on this band until I see some pounds rolling off!!

SDChick, I feel the same way, people on my job is just looking at me like "girl, you wasted your money",I'm happy to see that you losed some weight in you 2 months, because I haven't losed a thing!

Thanks for sharing that info. I thought I was the only one. My dr. is only putting alittle at a time and I'm gaining to much weight!

Like I really feel sooooo bad, after surgery on 9/5/07 my weight was about 216. I am 210 now. I can't lose any weight and have had 3(SMALL) fills. My doctor does not want to tell me how much he is putting in, but I think each time that i have gone he has put .5cc. I read that one person had 4cc in one fill. What is my doctor waiting on? I am so tired of him telling me that"it's going to come off" . This is crazy!!! .5cc He is losing his mind. I think I have been patient enough. Nov 5 will be 2 months, It's time for me to lose the darn weight!!

YOUR NOT ALONE!! I am calling the dr. office right now because I have had three fills since surgery9/5/07 and have no restriction I can eat as much as i want to. I'm not sure I have the band other than seeing the scares on my belly! I am really fustrated right now, and the holidays is the hardest for me. I will DEMAND more restriction!!

Well for me, I had my surgery 9/5 and I haven't losed a single pound since my surgery. I haven't been working out, but I haven't been over eating either. I go for my third fill today and I have been doing this for the last 3 mondays so wish me luck!!

Does anyone know him? I was banded by this Dr. and was wondering if anybody else had him also. I find he is a good dr. just don't put enough saline in band!!!:whoo:

I HAVE GAINED ONE POUND EVERYDAY SINCE I GOT OFF OF LIQUIDS,MY DR.SAID NOT TO WORRY THAT I WON'T LOSE WEIGHT UNTIL I GET FILLLED.
