Thank you for your answer. I am sure it will grow back in, as thick as ever. Though I am sure it is devastating! Your organs are taking in all the nutrition and our hair is the last to receive it. I wonder if this happens to everyone who has WLS?

I am sorry about the hair loss. Can you tell me after surgery, when did the hair loss start? Like 2 months after? 3? Thank you

I had surgery on Oct. 9th, 2013 by Dr. Chandra Hassan. RNY Bypass. I also worried something would go wrong on testing day, it didn't! Don't worry about something that hasn't happened yet! My surgery stay was of normal, the staff of Dr. Hassan's is excellent. You will be happy with everyting, I promise you, they are simply the best!. You have a great support system there. I myself could not handle the pain, so I had called and three days later was back in for pain management. Don't let that scare you though, everyone is different. I am not sorry I did this and am well on my way to being in better health. Any other questions,, ask please....You will be great!
