Quitting smoking before surgery, good or bad idea?

I was told by my doc that I have to stop & not smoke for about 30 dats after surgery. If I can stop for 30, I should be able to stop for good. Good luck to you. -

"Drink water in between?" I have as told we can no longer dtink & eat at the sametime. I was told to wait 45-60 mins after a meal. -
