Loving this site. Clearly, in order to have our surgeries, we need pretty toes! I have decided that I will go both both toes and new "do" as well. I am having my surgery on the 25th. So, I still have a little time to pick a new look! Fun! -
mentalistfan Great to hear from you! I will stay in touch!

630racoon Pamela I know! I am so excited! Yes, I start the full liquid diet on the 11th as well.

Good Luck Ladies! I think a pedicure and new hairdo is an excellent way to get this party started. I am having surgery on June 25th. I am also thinking about a new "do." -

Hello Fellow April Sleevers. I just found out my "go date" is 04/02! I am both nervous and excited!
-
kkrose Thanks for asking. I am doing well. I was supposed to have my surgery April 2, but I am postponing indefinitely for numerous reasons. on the upside, I am exercising and have been dropping a little on my own. When is your date? I see March 2014. Have you already had the surgery? I hope all goes really, really well for you!
-
I am close to getting a date for surgery. Is it normal to be scared to death and constantly doubting my decision to have surgery?
-
April 2 is my surgery date

I start my 2-week preop diet on March 19. I am going to follow your post to see if anyone has any really good suggestions. The caffeine thing has me worried.

I recently found out that my surgeon has only done 26 sleeve operations. Do you think that is enough experience to trust? -

Thank you Schmincke. I went to a support group meeting with some of his patients who have already had the surgery. I went this afternoon. He has been a general surgeon for years and has been doing gastrectomies for years, which I had not taken into consideration when I expressed my worry. The nurse coordinator was talking to us about it this afternoon. So, I feel much better now. -

Thanks everyone for weighing in. I went to a support group today and met some of the doctor's patients. They were all very enthused and had done very well. I mentioned the fact that he had not done that many sleeves, and the nurse director said that he has been doing gastrectomies for years, which is basically the same thing, for years. Well, duh, I had not thought of that. He is a general surgeon. I feel much, much better now.
