I have bad throat and esophagus pain, could this be reflux or heartburn?? Its pretty painful and I have never had it before so i have no reference point.....any thoughts??

I dont consider myself in a stall. I lost 25lbs in 3 weeks. I have since lost 5 lbs since surgery on Nov 19th. Our bodies are in starvation mode, they think its dying. Until ur body realizes in fact its not dying, the weight drop. Plus, 30lbs is alot to lose in 1 month. It has to even out somehow. We must be patient, after all, we didnt get fat over night, we wont get skinny over night either. Just my thoughts....

I was sleeved 11/19. I find when I talk alot I fill up with air and am miserable after, sometimes for hours and i cant eat or drink anything. I take gas x thin strips but it doesnt always help. Anyone else experience this??

I talk for a living, and I just cant imagine always feeling so full and gasy after. I have never regretted anything so much as this surgery. I am a shell of my former self. Uhh.

Anyone understand this?? I can eat 1/4 cup of deviled egg puree, but 2 small bites of any kind of meat puree? The egg is way thicker than then meat too. What gives???

Thanks for your feedback, ur so knowledgeable. But how is 2 bites helpful? It then becomes a struggle to get in anything else.....

Me physically and im still full. I guess im not Ready for pureed turkey :-(

I can concentrate, i am just in a fog, like things arent real. Its a scary feeling and causes me alot of anxiety. It gets better once ive eaten or had a protein shake, but sometimes i wonder if it will ever go away....

Gelica, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! i have struggled so much myself. I was sleeved on nov 19 and while i was doing fabulously, i hit a wall last week. I regressed from puree to Clear liquids. It was awful. I was so dehydrated. I am still struggling to get my strength back. I have total. buyers remorse right now. I want to chug diet coke and eat a bag of chips yet i cant even chew food and swallow it right now, im back to pureed. I cant work, i am in a mental fog. I know how u are feeling. I also got esophageal thrush and that was MISERABLE. U will get better everyday. Take it slow and remember u are not alone. I want to hug u!! Xoxo. I am 16 days post op and im struggling. I was cruising along with clear and full liquids and then just before puree, i hit a wall. I went back to clears and now am progressing back to fulls. Somedays its so easy to get in fluids, but this morning i woke up and am really struggling to get in an 8 oz protein shake. I really just dont get it. I have had thrush which i know can cause esophagus swelling and pain. I also have had some bad heartburn but somedays its so easy. Tues and wed i got down 60 oz all day and yesterday and applesauce. Today i feel like crap and can barely get this protein shake in. What gives!?? Im scared ill never progress to real food. Any insights would be great.....

Thank you! I managed to eat 3 bites of a scrambled egg for dinner. But, how do u know when ur full? Since i always have this midchest fullness, what else would indicate ive reached my limits??

Wow, that was a very comprehensive answer, thank you. How did u know I was frustrated??? The real question is how do i get rid of the mucous so i can eat?? The thrush was from all the antibiotics in the hospital and i am done with the meds after today. I am also in such a brain fog, is this normal??? Sorry, im a mess.....obviously!

Thank you! I took some reglan last night and that seemed to help a little. Its scary, feels like my throat is closing. Did anyone else cruise thru to puree than get rejected back to clears and fulls??? Im feeling sooooo alone and abnormal......

I need some advise. I am 2 weeks post op today and not feeling well at all. I was progressing well on the diet phases and than hit a wall. I was supposed to be eating puree but im still on full, and at times clear. I have this weird problem where I get this feeling of fullness in my midchest and up into my throat. It almost makes me feel like i cant breathe. My surgeon doesnt seem worried and recommended prilosec but i cant handle that big of a pill. I am also so weak and just feel awful. Any ideas???
