Hi! I am 12 days post op and had a similar experience. Everything was very tight and Water almost hurt to drink the first few days, then on day 5, things seemed to open up a lot overnight and everyday thereafter, as I'm assuming the swelling was reducing. Since then I can drink near normal sips of water without issue. I have been in a panic thinking I'm stressing the sleeve out with this and searched lots of old post on the subject. Then general consensus seems to be that the pyloric valve allows water to empty so quickly that the water doesn't have time to back up in there and stretch the pouch or harm you. I can drink about 6 oz. in 5 minutes now, easy. I freak out over everything, and once I read things other people wrote, it calmed me down, and now I'm just thankful I can get it down easy!
