Hi there! My surgery is scheduled for the 17th, and I am on day 5 of my liquid diet. I have 2 Protein Shakes then a small dinner. Day 2 and 3 were bad. But I am happy to report that I had my son's birthday party yesterday, and managed to eat what I was supposed to with nothing else. It wasn't too bad. I drink a coffee or tea (decaf of course) when I start to get cranky. Makes me feel a little bit better. But I'm honestly not hungry!

I knew I was approved for a sleeve gastrectomy at the end of last month, but I just got my surgery date today! I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I have 3 kids, ages 8, 5 and 2. The surgery is an overnight stay. But how will I feel the following days (I'm a SAHM)? I've just started my Liver Shrinking diet. Not too bad for day 1. One of my other concerns is that my blood pressure was high at my last appointment. Not too sure if it was nerves or what, but I'm concerned about it. I'm normally not high, so will this affect my surgery? I've been reading everyone's tips and experiences, and was wondering what the best advice you can give me.

Just got the call Wednesday that insurance has approved my surgery. Going to the required class next Friday, then I'll find out my date in February! This is super exciting!

To have WLS or not? I am completely torn on this subject, and would like some varied point of views. Having just started the whole process of having WLS, I'm becoming overloaded with web searches on the gastric sleeve. How did you decide that this was right for you?
Who's starting their new life on February 17th?

Pre-admission testing is complete. Surgery is on Monday at 12:30. Anyone else having surgery that day? I am slightly nervous. I'm just worried about discomfort and fatigue. Not at all concerned about food (which is a first)!! So, what are your worries, tips, thoughts. What will you eat for your last big meal on Sunday? Cheers to all!
