Hi ! I am so proud I finally have the courage to look into this process, and am very excited and ready for it! I have been battling with weight issues ---only briefly, slightly as a 9 to 12 yr old girl. Then, it was under control in my twenties after all of my 4 kids were born within 5 years. After the youngest, who is 19, I couldn't seem to lose it at all, and was 5 ft 2 in and about 195. I've joined weight watchers about 20 times, nutrisystem twice. Then up to 210. Then my awesome husband and I together partnered up and lost about 20 each. Then, about 4 and a half yrs ago, he suddenly passed on. I was a 46 yr old widow with kids aged 14,16,18,19. He was the best dad and husband ever. It was then I began the fight of my life. Only by the grace of God, 8 unbelievable older siblings, my mom and a god-sent psychologist,my wonderful priest friend and my parish, and dear coworkers am I still even here today. Now, with the 5 year anniversary of his passing (while exercising at at the gym at 49) approaching, im up to 225. I knew him at 18, for 28 years. My one true love ever. Im 51. I want this to signal the "chapter 2 " in my life . The time is right because at the moment, I have no high blood pressure, knee trouble, diabetes, high cholesterol, etc. This will all soon change without this surgery I'm researching now. My two sisters are the only ones ive told about this, because it's private and my business. This simply has to happen! I'm keeping it to myself even though everyone I know would likely cheer me on.
