I never had any trouble getting down fluids either. Banded on October 11th. Karen

I felt a cold coming on a week before having surgery and took some cold fx. It seemed to work to keep the cold away.

When Dr Ortiz was coming to speak to me before my surgery his cell phone rang and he answered. Overhearing part of the phone conversation it was a patient who had been banded for quite some time so I can say that he is there for his patients when they call. He spent well over ten minutes speaking with her and then also wanted her to email as well. I never got the impression that her call was an inconvenience to him. In fact, he stated to me after that the reason we have his number is in case we need it. Karen

Hi there, I had surgery on the 11th as well. Are you off of fluids now? I am not supposed to eat real food till next week. I haven't been feeling really hungry but my head wants me to have more than just a bowl of Soup at night. Karen

Was supposed to go on Friday but when I was picked up at the airport the other girls in the van had to go to the clinic for preop..so they did mine at the same time and when a space became available they girls didnt was to be seperated so that worked for me as well. My sister who was coming with my got stuck and wasnt going to be able to come down afterall. I am feeling fine..other than the incisions it hard to believe anything is in there. I have been a bit nauxioius at times but I've barely eaten anything for a week and throw surgery onto it. I will write more later after I cruise around TJ for a bit Karen

Hey Hope, I am having it done in Mexico. Like you patience is not my strong point. However, we are almost there. Its nice to have someone to encourage or vent on while we go through these stages. How's the preop going? Karen

Hi Hope Nice to see someone else whos having surgery on the 12th. We just have to get through this preop diet now. Hard to believe its only 3 weeks away. Karen
