  1. I can easily eat that too, I had plication with banding- I avoid drinking while eating, even if I'm thirsty, I have to wait a while before I can drink. And definitely no fizzy drinks while eating or I'll puke. If I have that one mouthful too much I get huge upper back pain, which takes about half an hour to go. I avoid meats that are dryish, they don't pass through the band very well. I've lost 8 kilos in 6 weeks, but seem to have hit a plateau....and the scales aren't budging anymore for the last 2 week. I'm happy about not being able to have big portions, it's still a big learning process on what I can eat and what I can't and the quantity.
  2. I'm only 5 days post op, how long did it take before the pain went away? I'm still on shakes.... But craving real food already. I can drink at least a litre of water a day.. Before surgery I could drink 2 litres.... I'm also very short of breath when I walk... Is this normal?
  3. I had my surgery tue 26th November, plication with band. I was able to go home the next day. It is now day 5, I still have a lot of gas pain, and shortness of breath/dizziness if I walk to far. I've been having VLCD shakes and soups. Today is the first day I've had the most. But I'm starting to crave for 'real food' like real fruit smoothies or real veggie soups... Time to go to the supermarket I think. If anyone has some good blender recipes please pass them on, thanks. I think I need more protein. I'm looking forward to be pain free and be able to move around more freely
  4. I was given reflux tablets the nurses said to take it at 4 pm everyday.. But are you on liquids
  5. I had my surgery on Tuesday 26th nov, gastric band with plication. The hospital let me go home the next day. Today Saturday 30th November I'm trying to get through the day with no pain killers. Not sure how I will go. Today was my first time I was able to finish one protein drink for breakfast, I feel like I have a lot of gas which is very painful. What can I do to fix this other than pain relief ? My energy levels are very low, tried walking around the shops yesterday but became very short of breath and dizzy...is this normal? What is the amount of liquid food that needs to be consumed per day? What are other people consuming? Looking forward to be pain free so I can move around more.
