If you don't want to walk or do your incentive spirometery then you are not taking enough pain meds. Don't be shy on taking them the first few days. Glad you are doing well!

Congratulations. You look awesome. -
Frenzel is doing mine. I have BCBS as well. I live by the Texas Motor Speedway and drive by Trophy Club everyday. Good luck tomorrow!!!! I have been doing okay on the diet but I can have a small meal in the evening which helps tremendously. I just have to keep my kids away from my jello! I created a mom drawer.

You run the risk of breaking the seal and removing the glue that's holding the incision closed in the process. My surgeon and many others are against removing them yourself before your supposed too. Their put there to prevent infection and keep them sterile. As a nurse and someone who has had multiple abdominal surgeries, it does not significantly increase your risk of infection to remove and replace when they start lifting.

I like my fitbit. Tracks steps, sleep and food. Only thing I don't like is that you can't scan food bar codes. -
Nothing wrong with removing and replacing with new steristrips. You can get them at any drugstore.

Did You Find Yourself Emotional Before Surgery?
Mama Spike replied to tigermom12's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Is it harder to BE fat or harder to do something about it? I would rather work harder through the six weeks than live fat forever. You can do this! -
Just curious. .. why not wait till after kids to have skin removed? Often times pregnancy can cause excess skin. I would agree waiting util after kids for abdominal or thigh skin removal. Arm/neck skin removal should be fine before.

I didn't get the part about good chiropractic care. What am I missing? Helps the nervous system. http://drbakercares.com/blog/b_13251_recovering_from_brain_fog_and_fatigue_after_general_anesthesia_or_surgery_5_tips_to_help_you.html -
I haven't sleeved yet but I switched to Vyybrid 2 years ago and it was phenomenal! It is expensive but worth every penny since it finally relieved my depression!

Anyone Else Have Trouble Focusing Post-Op?
Mama Spike replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Unfortunately, anesthesia stays in your body much longer than you think. Couple that with a significant calorie reduction and you may experience significant fogginess. There is a lot of research on both. Start with an understanding that it takes time coupled with protein, water and good chiropractic care and the fog will slowly subside.
