I am two days out as well. I agree with walking. My surgeon said to take gas-ex chewables every 2 hours as you can't overdose on it.

Merry Christmas everyone. Kinda weird not eating anything or having no desire to eat. I have lost 0.4 lbs. Not bad since my stomach is still swollen.

I have been taking phenergan for the nausea. Thanks for the advice. I have been sleeping then walking then sleeping. Not used to this amount of laziness. Kids and hubby are making spaghetti and it is making me nauseated again. Guess I will stay in bedroom.

My tummy is not tolerating anything well. Just threw up. I have only gotten 16 0z of water and 4oz of protein in. Sleeping most of the day. I came home last night when I felt fabulous.

Semply-you can do it. Dr. Matin is a great physician. He practices at the hospital that I work. The only reason I didn't go with him is, that I didn't want employees in my personal decision.

I had to let my live-in boyfriend go after my day- long appt with the surgeon, psychologist and NUT. came home so excited and ready for this new lifestyle change. I shared all the information I had just learned with him, including the tough recovery and lifestyle change that was going to affect us both. He had absolutely no interest or intention of changing with me although he had tried every diet fad around. He just couldn't share the excitement with me. I was so determined to start a new, healthy life that I knew having him in it would derail or sabotage my journey. It has been three months since he moved out and while the breakup was heartbreaking, I have no regrets. With every pound I lose I have my family and close friends to celebrate and support me. I prefer to think of losing him as just losing 300 lbs of guilt and frustration! Thanks Mary! That is a big change!

Has anyone let friends go who weren't supportive? Sleeving tomorrow and I am thinking my friends need to change especially those who won't embrace my healthy focus.

Barefeet-glad you are home!! Y'all stayed the night. They today me I would go home the same day. A little nervous!

Clmftw-they told me toe nail polish was okay and no dark colors on fingers which I always buff my fingers. That sucks having to take them off. I am a nurse and there is no clinical reason to remove toe nail polish.
