I do not have difficulty getting fluids/protein supplements down 5 weeks post op. For those that do, there is new product recently out there. At walgreens there is probalance protein shot XL... It contains 28 grams of protein in 3 oz, which is nearly unheard of... This may benefit those who can only get small amounts . You can also goigle search item and find it. -
So far so good! I am down 50 lbs since beginning my pre-op diet 34 days ago and almost 20 days post-op. I think having a great surgeon has made a tremendous difference in my recovery process.

Comfy Blue, Thanks for the encouragement. Everyone's body is different with our own unique metabolic function or dysfunction. I had follow up with Dr Shillingford yesterday and all was well. He spent a very good amount of time explaining multiple topics to me. I have been doing pretty good. The only disturbance is severe GERD, which I am on a PPI, H2 antagonist, and Gaviscon. Once this weight comes down and abdominal pressure lowers my surgeon and I both believe it will alleviate. I have...

Will be 4 weeks this monday since surgery and doing pretty good. My left side has been hurting a little more this week, but there is still a dissovable suture in my abdominal muscle. Kind of gets annoying especially at night, but pain medicine has been making it tolerable. Great weight loss so far and back to work and school next week.
