  1. Question. I am about 2.5 weeks after surgery. Earlier this week I was feeling good. Minimal pain and all. Now I feel like my deep stitch hurts more than it did before. Sitting here I feel fine but it is definitely sore to the touch and when I get up and walk. I did a lot of walking today so maybe that’s it but it’s making me a bit nervous. Trying to stay on top of Tylenol every 6 hrs bc I definitely cut back on those since I was feeling better. Anyone else experience this?

    Constipation?

I'm having issues where I definitely have the urge but it difficult getting it to come out (sorry TMI). I've taken Miralax yesterday and today to try and soften things up but not sure what else I should do. Karli
  3. I would track it by how many water bottles you are drinking. If you are using a glass/cup, pour the water from the bottle into the cup so that way you know when you are done, how many oz that was. I think it is important to keep the water intake high while trying to get the protein in but that can take a few days to be able to do both.
  4. My NP said I could try cortisone creme but it did not do a thing! Its just itchiness from healing but feels like its x100! Only thing that helps is to not have anything touching it at all! Karli
  5. Anyone itchy on the tummy around the incisions? I want to scratch my skin off. I am going to try some Cortisone creme! Karli
  6. Is anyone wearing a compression garment for their belly? If I hold my stomach, any pain I might have is less than when I walk without holding it. I’m not sure what the pros or cons of getting one would be. Getting off the couch/chair is tough but it’s the worst if I dropped something in the floor!
  7. Hi! I had my surgery yesterday! Everything went well. Yesterday was probably the worst as I was so loopy and tired from the anesthesia and also very sore. Today I’ve been able to sit up in a chair all day. Not having any issues getting my liquids in!
  8. I'm the 20th. The preop diet is rough but I am a bit luckier than you and am allowed real food but mostly 0 carb. It has been rough but I keep telling myself its just 2 weeks and I can do this! I know it will be a bit easier on the other side of surgery and that is what I'm holding on to. You can do it!
  9. My surgery is scheduled for June 20th! I'm currently in my preop diet but it is very modified. I only have to replace 1 meal with a protein shake and the rest of the meals consist of 1/2 cup lean protein and unlimited non starchy vegetables. Mine is modified b/c my BMI is not as high. Struggling with the dinner meal but trying to push through. Karli
