Hello, I got my second fill Monday, so I am at 6cc. I was depressed last time I went because I gained a pound, almost through me off. This time I lost and I am at 35.5 pd nothing to sneeze at. Surgery was 11/18/2013. You can do it. I haven't been able to exercise but looking forward to walking, One foot at a time.

What time do you eat dinner? Are you getting enough Protein in with your meals. I had my first fill about a month ago, due for another next Monday. I have no restriction yet, I am eating to much, I am trying to practice smaller portions. Evening time seams to trigger my need to stuff my face with junk. I haven't yet but it is hard.

I was banded 11/18/2013 so we are pretty close. I have lost about 28 pd BUT this last month I have lost a big 00, naughta. Everyday it is harder to stick to the food plan. I haven't strayed but have eaten to much at a time. I also have trouble not drinking water with my meals. Let me know how you do, Good Luck.

I had a sleep study too, and had to get the sleep machine. It took me awhile because I didn't have a Doctor to read it and order my PAP machine. Just keep on going on and you will get there. Good Luck.

Hi T-Bear and welcome. I have found this a great place and people with all steps in the journey. I haven't been at this that long so it is all new to me. Have you thought about joining OA? I would like to do that but it is to far away for me and no disabled parking. Now I am on regular foods I have found that the Akins frozen dinners have been very helpful for me. I Googled it and hit on several clinics. All you can do is call and talk to them. I googled Las Vegas, NV lap band surgery.

It could have been and intervention. Maybe the old Hospital and/or Doctor was not doing a good job and you will find a much better place. Don't jump to fast, find somewhere you are completely comfortable with. Check them out. It took me a year to get approved and tested.

I have a question. How much should we be eating at a meal? In size. I was told 1/3 cup for each meal, that's a very small amount and I can't get down to that.

I had the very same thing happen to me. I went to the ER at a hospital and they just taped gauze on it and said call my surgeon. After about 4 days I got to My Weight Loss Center and he put stitches in and put my antibiotics. He said it wasn't infected yet, but would rather be safe then sorry. I kept it covered just so my clothes didn't rub on it. He also said if it did get infected the port would have to come out. All is healed nicely now and I got my first fill.Good Luck

Well I have had a bad problem also, I nearly fell off the diet. I got my first fill last Monday and I had gained 1 pound. I don't feel any difference from before. The nurse told me 2 days liquids and 2 days softies and then can go to regular foods. Well I have never been given regular food list I have no clue. You would think they would have worked on that before now. I have so much to learn that I am not being taught, Especially food values, carbs and Protein. I thought I new it all, until the nurse told me a lousy banana is all Carbs and 1 Banana could be my whole days amount of carbs.

Please tell me who or what Myfitnesspal is. I sounds like I could use it.

I got my first fill today, they are starting off slow. I have a large band and they gave me 3CC. Don't feel any different. Oh I gained a pound, bad me.

Me also I am under 300. I think I feel better. My breathing is better. Although I don't walk because I am weak and don't breath well. I will start as weight goes down and the weather gets better. Soon I hope. Merry Christmas to all my new friends on this forum.

Hi I got my Lap-band on Nov 18 also. Been doing pretty good all in all. My incision hasn't healed all the way, so I hope I can get my 1st fill next Monday as scheduled. I am so hungry all the time. I am trying very hard to stick to the plan. I was told I can eat Atkins frozen dinners, I found at Safeway. They are protein and vegetables. They have a couple breakfast entrees. You are doing so good. I came home a week ago was told I could go on mushies and had lost 28.4 pds, and blew it all to hell. Why I do that I do not know. I eat something way bad. I can't seem to stop at 1/2 cup a meal. I am working on it and I will win.

Hi, checking in again. My incisions are almost closed finally. They popped open and I had to go and get stitches and antibiotics. I see we are all different in the time we are aloud to start eating. I am on 31/2 weeks liquid, then softies I hope for 2 or 3 wks.. I should get my first fill in about 3 wks. I cheated and started to eat some soft food about 4 days ago, I just couldn't stand it any longer and needed something in my mouth. I go in Thursday for maybe soft food.

You can do this. I had my LB 3 wks ago and never had any pain at all, so don'y worry about it.

All the Insurance Co are different. Your doctor will check your health.

Glad your doing so well. I am doing better also. After my incesion came open I finally got stitches Tuesday and antibiotics, today it looks like it is trying to close finally. So I think I am on my way also. We are still on liquids until 3 1/2 wks in, I don't know I can make it. But I am good.

Thank you, the reason I ask is that incission came open. I went to ER Wednesday and he dressed it and said to call my surgion and go see him. I called today and he asked if it was the port, I have no clue, why was that not in one of our classes. I am 11 days out of surgery and I don't want an infection. I will never have surgery so close to a holiday.

Sorry, I feel so stupid but where is my port. Which hole is it.

jcrosland My incision popped open yesterday for no reason I can see. I had surgery on the 18th Nov. All the others look pretty healed. I had noticed a kind of large lump under the skin, I guess was fuild and it drained some when it popped open I think the super glue gave way, it's been coming off the other incisions. So I go to ER at Hospital, what a night mare. 6 hour later I get a Doctor who puts a gauze over it and said to call my surgion. Now reading all this it scares me.
