    Extended release anti-depressants

I took my heart meds the morning after my first night at the hospital. They crushed them and added them to diluted apple juice in a medicine cup. I took the Effexor later on that night at home. Don't try mixing the capsule granules with jello... Yuck, tasted terrible. Yogurt or applesauce mask the bitterness better.

    Extended release anti-depressants

I take the same dose of Effexor. My heart meds along with every other pills, taste absolutely awful from the bitterness. As far as capsules with the beads inside, those go down easy in yogurt (no fruit chunks, must be smooth) and in no sugar added applesauce. Just don't be tempted to bite into the beads they are nasty and bitter too. They put me on Pradaxa for my atrial fibrillation and it tastes terrible.

  5. I have read other posts on this forum from Google searches before creating an account, now I can't find the original thread now that I am registered. I had gastric sleeve surgery on 11/21 and was discharged Friday, the next day. I am feeling a lot of soreness/tenderness on one of my IV injection sites. Out of three used, the one on my top right hand is very sore to the touch and any kind of squeezing action, such as opening bottled Water, is painful. The site was red yesterday but now it is just warm to the touch. The first time I felt pain there was the final flush the nurse pushed the liquid in a little too hard and it hurt. Since then the pain is persistent, only upon touching the top of my hand or trying to squeeze or make a fist. Is this something that will go away soon or could it be a complication that should have subsided by now? The other 2 IV sites on my left arm are not sore at all. I had to have all kinds of different fluids go in that site, from Dilaudid to beta blockers and nausea meds, perhaps one of those was so harsh it caused the leftover irritation? Otherwise post op I feel fine except my right side is in incredible pain when I get on my feet or sit down in a chair. Nowhere near any of the stomach/chest incisions. Thanks!
