I am in my second week all is well( surgery date june 17th)......I am on full liquids ...not much of a selection.........this is really hard and challenging...but in the long run it will be all worth it...I keep reminding myself this........I saw my md on friday one week post-op and I lost 18lbs...so this is what is keeping my going.......but I cannot believe how weak and tired I get...is anyone experiencing this?

when you go on full liquids post surgery ...can you have soft ice cream or milkshakes thinned???

is having a bagel seem to be ok toasted?.....what about chinese food? lo mein?....spare ribs........what about pickles....there are so many questions about food

Hi everyone...I got banded on June 17th.....I feel ok...alittle sore still esp by the port site....I am not liking this clear liquids for a week and then full liquids for three weeks....is everyone going thru this?....this is hard......alot of belching but is getting less each day....

Hi everyone....I was banded june 17th.....I immediately dragged myself out of the bed and started walking the halls throughtout the night....bad pain in my shoulder also and kept applying the heating pad but the walking is what breaks it up. I still have alot of belching..is this normal?...port site is sore and black and blue.....on clear liquids for one week then full liquids for 3 weeks....is this what everyone else did?

Hi Sara...I am scheduled for June 17th.....alittle nervous but very excited!!!.......this took alot ot time and effort on my part to make this work out between consults, insurance and working ....I cannot wait to be on the road to weight loss...........are you excited too???

well.believe it or not..they were conflicting stories between reps at my ins co.when I called and when my surgeon's office called........one said I had the benefit and the other said I did not.....they did not even ask for medical information and denied the case....it was then turned over and requested medical information.after fighting with them.....I was then approved the next day...-this morning!!!...I was all ready to file with obesitylaw........

you are not going to believe this but I WAS APPROVED FROM MY INSURANCE!!!!......I am soooo excited but on the other hand want to throw up because now I am so nervous about the surgery......I am scheduled for June 6th..............

thanks sooo much for your support.......my bmi is 44 and I have not appealed yet. I am waiting for the denial letter first..I have filed a request for help with obesitylaw.com but I am trying one more thing with my insurance before I take action.......wish me luck and thanks again!!!!

I am from new jersey and have been researching lap band for about a year and finally made my decision that this is the way to go and then I got all the consults needed and paperwork completed and submitted it to the insurance company to find out that they are denying the claim.......I am soooo upset about this!!
