Hello, I am exactly 3 weeks out of surgery and anything around my belly has been uncomfortable but good news I noticed today the jeans dont feel as uncomfortable so yes I bet the swelling is the problem.

Band to sleeve revision....scheduled for this April
NewBecky replied to stars in my eyes's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Hello Stars in your eyes, I recently went through the revision on 1/30/2014 so i am 21 days into this and unlike you I didn't lose all my weight with the band. I only lost about 40 lbs and was so tired of food getting stuck and feeling every meal was a challenge. So I had the revision and had a lot of scar tissue around my band which needed to be removed before he could remove the band and do the revision. I have lost a total of 23 lbs so far and feeling great! I wish this procedure was done 1st and foremost! The feeling of full is very quick and different than the band. I am still on mush foods but love being able to have the foods i can had until I start regular foods next week. You won't be disappointed. Of course I don't know what it feels like having regular meats, chicken, breads, etc till next phase but so far doing really great. Oh and by the way the dumping syndrome does happen with Sleeve patients. (I tried orange juice, and wish I hadn't)!!! -

its funny you say indention cause i have that too. I cant wait to see doctor on thursday to ask question. Doctor said the pain in that area is normal and when it radiats to my back thats also normal since that incision is where they inserted the instruments to do the surgery so its just sore and i imagine my i bruised as well but not terribly bruised. What is the Hermatoma? I have had pain on my left side and it was getting better but i keep trying to do more and now i hurt from that area again!! I'm curious too. My left side is black and blue 13 days later, and there is a big indention there too. -

I had the band and not a great success. Just go for the sleeve if you want to achieve your goals. My doctors said they frown upon the bands because you only ever achieve 40% of your excess weight if your lucky and thats what happened to me. on 1/30 i had the revision and although mine is probably more painful because of the revision sounds like everyone having the sleeve are getting around better than I am. So sounds promising. I am so excited to finally get the weight off. Good Luck with your research and decision. -

My surgery was 1/30 and I feel like i am ready for something more than just drinking so I know the feeling. Even if its just mashed potatos or cottage cheese something that you can chew. And it is very dangerous to just start eating without our Doctors supervision I would hate to go back into surgery because is did my own thing. I see my doctor thursday so hoping for the next phase of the meal plans. one great thing is I am down 20 lbs since my pre-op diet and surgery -

Its super hard but every time you want to eat something remember your health during and after surgery and how your liver being smaller will be better for many reasons and how your kids depend on you. You can do it stay focused.
