Anyone notice a difference in their vision? I kind of played about it last night, but my husband handed me his phone to read something and it was so blurry. I said to him must be because I've slept on & off all day. He said that a lack of nutrition. I just had my eye checked!!

As soon as I get out of shower morning & evenings I rub coconut on. I've always done this. At night I even put it in my face.

I found a protein bar @ fresh market call Taste Thin. 0 grams sugar 20 grams protein. Grabbed one to see what it taste like since they are B1G1 right now. Tasted pretty good. I was surprised.

They will never go away but I have always used coconut oil. Have a bottle of it by my shower and put it all over right after I get out. At night I even put it on my face. I buy mine at trader joes but you can get it in the food isle were the cooking oils are etc. I love it!

Well my time has finally come. I am to be at the hospital at 6:30 scheduled for surgery @ 8:30. They said I would be 2nd to go back. Very very nervous. Just praying that I'm making the right decision. I think my biggest fear is pain and worried about me being down not able to help hubby & kids. My 15 yr old is going to the hospital with me and hubby will be there soon afterwards, as he has to work tonight. Crossing my fingers he doesn't get a call before shift is over. Good luck to all the other sleeves that are scheduled for this week too.

Ok as long as it's just me. I'll be 1 wk tomorrow. Tuesday I start work. We will see how this goes looking at an computer all day!!

My SW was 238, today I'm 216, it went up but I think it's because it's that time of the month which sucks!! I'm right at 5'9 so really not sure what I want my weight to be that's why I say 150/160. Def not 180 like my dr said. Curious to see what he says tomorrow regarding my limits etc. will keep you posted.

Only 9lbs since surgery ???? , but I will take it. I'm like you can't wait for this summer, I'm about 1.5 from beach, but If i get to 150-160 it will be cruise time!! My dr said 180, but my 1st goal is 160.

Hi donaboss we had surgery the sameday. Don't be scared to sleep on your side. I did the 1st night I came home. Propped a long pillow under my stomach I move the pillow when I go to my other side. I would go crazy if I could not have done than. Back was killing me in the hospital. Please be careful if you go out I thought I was ready for it, went out and was so weak. Came right back home. O well. I tried. I go for my 1st post op appt on Monday. Then Tuesday will be my 1st day back to work. Good Luck!!

Congrats. I went to take a shower last night and the hubby told me to wait until today, I'm terrified of getting my bandages wet because they have not bothered me. I to had to drink so much before I was able to be released and I couldn't do it. Now that I'm home I'm drinking fine

Well looks like everyone surgery went well. Was nervous well waiting for surgery because all the other women that were in triage with me were having lapband and of course I'm serving guessing my decision they get to go home after surgery. After surgery I was in a lot of pain. Yes the morphin helped but I think it made me more sick then anything. The nausea finally stopped after I told them I was good no more pain meds. Past the leak test they said everything went well waited for the dr to come in so they could start me on a liquid diet well he didn't arrive until 330. Then they started me on water, Gatorade, watered down Apple juice & broth. I only drank the Gatorade as it was time to go home. So thankful I'm able to lay on my stomach. I want so much to take a shower but my hubby is playing nurse and thinks tomorrow would b a better day for that lol. In 15 yrs he has never missed work and he did for me . I like to be left alone when not feeling well but I will let him help me!! If anyone has pain. Where is it hurting? My incisions do not hurt at all ( I have 7). Mostly hurts turning over or drinking. This thread has been a blessing if it wasn't for all you I know I would've chickened out!!

I start my shakes using almond milk which tasted ok . I just thought using water would taste awful. We'll I tried it and it actually tasted better with just water. I'm on Chike hoping the taste doesn't change after surgery because I like it.

Donaboss your way ahead of me. I'm cleaning like crazy and making sure everyone's laundry is done. As if I'm going to be gone forever. I think everything is bought, packing will begin tomorrow. Good luck Monday!

My surgery is Monday as well 8:30am!! It's going to be a busy busy wkend shopping etc. not only for myself but my husband & 3 boys. I think they are stressing more than me now. They are worried about not having any food in the house since school is still out. Good luck with your surgery. I was having second thoughts last week but I'm ready now.

So last night my 15 yr old was asking questions regarding the surgery. I pulled up the video to show him. I've watched a lot on you tube. I'm scared to death now. I went for my preop yesterday my surgery is Monday. I told him after he watched how I felt. And he said mom your the strongest person I know you can do this. ( heart breaking ) has anyone ever backed out last minute or is this normal? Me of all peps I can not believe I'm feeling like this now!!

Thank you everyone. I just don't know what happened I've watched & read so much during my research and it's never bothered me. I've always been the one that was there to help others & now it's going to be me; with my family waiting to help me. So if all goes well I will be heading to the hospital Monday morning. We've waited this long not messing it up over 2 wks

Wow I don't think I can do 150 I'm 5'9 my dr said 175 - 180. Thought that was still a little high but 150 I think will be to thin for my height? We will see. Scheduled for 12/30

I start mine Monday as well. Surgery scheduled for Dec 30th. Christmas dinner is at my house this year. So I will just be super busy. I'm usually the last one to sit down. So this year I will just act to busy & keep everyone entertained.

Drs office submitted my paperwork in for lapband - approved in 2 days. "Yay" I called they resubmitted it correct to the sleeve. Approved in several hrs. Now I have an RN from UHC calling me to talk about my surgery to make sure I've made the right choice etc she states. I was at work so I really couldn't talk. Has anyone had this. What is she going to ask? They can't come back and say nope your no longer approved?

I most defiantly will. And thank you all for the replies. I guess I will be talking to the RN tomorrow. I guess I will just them Do there job ????
