Looking for July Sleevers!
crazzeescrapper replied to fearnot's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor doesn't require a pre-op diet, but I plan on doing one myself for a week before my surgery. I agree, we all have fatty livers and that is why I'm doing it. -

July 24th for me. I keep flipping between being really excited to get this done and then I catch myself thinking "OMG, are you seriously going to do this". Date can't get here soon enough so I this can stop. -

crazzeescrapper replied to mi75's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my husband take my full body "before" pictures yesterday. Yikes! I know what you mean. I avoid getting my picture taking and if I do it's usually just a head shot. Should have had him do it a long time ago and put it on the fridge, LOL. -

I haven't had surgery yet but will probably have the same problem. Do you have any interest in crafts like scrap booking, knitting or painting? How about learning to play an instrument. You could Play board or computer games. That's all I can think off. Try googling "hobbies" and hopefully you'll find something to keep your hands busy.

When does the restriction begin.

I was given the below time line by my NUT for the max amounts you should be eating. My surgery is not until July 24 so I can't comment how accurate it is. 3 months - 1/4 C. 6 months - 1/2 C. 9 months - 3/4 C. 1 year and beyond - never more than 1 Cup. -

Spouse not on board with WLS
crazzeescrapper replied to eyemama5's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I started this process my husband was not happy about it. He even offered to join weight watchers with me to help me lose weight (he needs to lose some too). Now I have done W.W. At least 4 times and always gained it all back so I said no. I have a friend that had this surgery in January and she has lost almost 80 pounds. He saw her a couple weeks ago and was shocked by her weight loss and the fact that she no longer is diabetic and all the other good things that has happened with her health. He is now 100% for the surgery! He even went along to my last nut appt to hear about what I'll be able to eat after surgery. I feel much better about doing this since he is on board. Start showing your husband people's success stories on here and hopefully he will come around. -

crazzeescrapper replied to jenngottaloseit's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I hope your insurance issues are cleared up quickly! I'm located near Harrisburg, Pa and that is where I'm getting surgery. I'm so excited for all of us, can't wait to start living again -

I didnt want to lie...

I look at it this way, everyone has their vices. Mine just happens to be food (sugar/carbs mainly). I work with people that drink too much alcohol, smoke and some that are unfaithful to their spouses. If any of them would suddenly give up their vices, I wouldn't ask how they did, just be happy for them. I expect the same. -
You look awesome!

Cats Vs Dogs (Share your pet pics)
crazzeescrapper replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in The Lounge
My Bella. When we adopted her from the pound her name was Greg and they had her marked as a boy cat. We got the surprise that we adopted a girl cat after we went to take her home. They discovered Greg was a girl when they fixed her! We had to suddenly come up with a girls name. I didn't think Bullseye fitted anymore. -

Hysterectomy & Sleeve at the same time Questions
crazzeescrapper replied to MommyMeghan's topic in The Gals' Room
I had a hysterectomy in February and had to push out my sleeve surgery. Both my Obgyn and weight loss surgeon said both procedures could not be done at the time. My sleeve surgeon said on top of the fact that both surgeries are pretty invasive, the major concern is the length of time you would need to be under. Each procedure ca be 2 to 3 hours or more. The longer you are under it greatly increases your risk of a blood clot and infections. My sleeve surgeon said 4 to 6 months between surgeries and my info was just submitted to insurance last week. Good luck to you however you decide to proceed. -

40's New Beginnings
crazzeescrapper replied to LosingItForMe2011's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hello everyone. I'm 46 and waiting for my surgery date. Just wondering how everyone's skin has responded to your weight loss. I see pictures of younger people that loss and look like they were never overweight. However at my age and amount I need to lose I'm sure a lot of loose skin is in my future. I'm 5 5 and weigh 290, would like at get down to at least 150.
