Bread/pasta question
XXShelXX replied to planetheather's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I made the cauliflower crust yesterday and it was soooo good! I add cheese to the mix though along with the two eggs and Italian spices. Everyone loved it! I've never made it where the cauliflower didn't have cheese mixes in though. Oh and the most important thing is getting the cauliflower as dry as humanly possible otherwise it's gonna be a soggy mess. I "riced" mine in a lil Ninja processor. -
Love this! Nothing better than shopping in ur own closet

HW 249 SW 222 CW 193.8 28 lbs lost since Dec 30th. Stalled for two weeks then lost six lbs. then immediately stalled for another three weeks then lost two. I really hope I'm done with stalls for awhile!! -
If u like chewy and great flavor then u will like the quest bars. My favorites are banana nut, peanut butter and jelly, vanilla cashew, cookie n cream, and peanut butter supreme

I understand what u mean. I'm two months out but always hungry too. I make sure I track everything in my fitness pal. I also eat about six times a day but I make them very small meals and mostly protein. For instance I may have a sugar free cappuccino for 60 calories when I get to work. Then an hour later I'll have a activia yogurt for another 60 calories. Or one day I will have a quest bar for under two hundred. Then it's lunch time so I try to keep that under two hundred as well. Then maybe a snack like a cheese stick. Then whatever for supper which is mainly protein and then a small snack. I average about 800 calories a day. My loss is still a little slow. But I eat often because of the hunger. Next time u feel hungry eat just maybe half of whatever it is. U will probably notice that was enough to take the hunger away. When it hits again a couple hours later eat the other half. It doesn't take much at all to not be hungry. I don't think your window is closing. Track what u are eating most importantly cause that helps sooooo much!! I hope that helps. It should really help get the calories down so u can start losing again. Good luck ! We are all struggling at one time or another in this journey.

Cookies & Cream Quest Bars
XXShelXX replied to slvrsax's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I have anew favorite and it's one I got by accident cause I thought I picked up the vanilla cashew. Banana nut!!! Holy smokes it's yummy!! And I'm not big on banana except for muffins lol -
I love them! 15 grams of protein in only 4 oz. they are really sweet and kinda tart but I can soo do these. I like the pomegranate flavor. I'm thinking to make em less sweet I could just add them to my water or power aid zero. So glad I saw these. Wish they were cheaper than 2.99 but maybe I can look online for a deal.

HW 249 SW 222 CW 196 Only lost a pound this week. I'm going to try the 1000 calories a day thing for a week and see if it helps. Tune in next week... -
that's over 4 lbs a week! I think that's wonderful. Maybe he is used to seeing results if bypass patients? Don't let him get you down. We don't lose as fast initially as bypassers do because they are not only restrictive but they don't absorb all the calories. The good thing is that studies show we end up with very comparable results. You are rocking it, don't let anyone rain on u.

New to group, had op 29 Jan
XXShelXX replied to Molly Practice's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Maybe think of your new tiny tummy as a funnel. Liquids go right through. Yogurt sits a little longer then goes. Dense protein sits quite awhile. -
You have to fight for it...
XXShelXX replied to CoffeeGrinDR's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
U know just when I start to feel so frustrated with the scale not moving fast enough for me, someone makes a post like this. This really does help and u are right we are all in the same boat here. Only you guys really know what it's like day to day. To want it sooooooo bad and know you are doing what you're supposed to and still the scale stays the same. I too want x=y. If someone said do this and it'll move, I would so be doing it. But it's the patience thing. I just want to skip the next few months and wake up and there it is lol continuing the fight in my lil part of the world. You're not alone. -
What size bougie was used?
XXShelXX replied to niassy151's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
me too lol only reason I asked him was after reading posts on here and freaking myself out. You might be able to find out by requesting your medical records. When I asked him I felt like a hillbilly cause I called it a boogie then he grinned and I said ummm bogie? He corrected me and said it's actually a boozshe lol -

Such a small difference really. Mine used a 36 and it works great! -
Does your spouse know how much you weigh?
XXShelXX replied to Ree's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Absolutely NOT lol in fact while I was in preop the anesthesiologist came in and asked my weight. I said I'm not telling u... But I know u have to know so I'll write it down for you. Lol hubby just laughed. -
Be sure to walk as soon as u can for sure! They should put compression socks on you that blow up and squeeze your legs too. You aren't gonna wanna walk and you may be bent over for awhile but it's super important. Good luck!

Cookies & Cream Quest Bars
XXShelXX replied to slvrsax's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I like em cause they are chewy. Cinnamon is pretty good warmed up. Peanut butter and jelly is my favorite. I like the big chunks of chocolate in the cookie dough one too mmmmm -
You are braver than you believe Stronger than you seem Smarter than you think And twice as beautiful as you had ever imagined! I didn't come up with this but I think it needs to be said. Sometimes we have such doubts while on this journey. This is just a simple reminder to all of us doubting ourselves. Carry on...

No loss this week HW 249 SW 222 CW 197 -
it does track grams. I saw this a few weeks ago. Just go to your diary... Then click on the little pie chart icon. Then u see a big pie chart with the percents.. Look up in the right corner of the page and you will see another little pie chart icon, right next to that is about four little horizontal lines. Click on that and u can see all your grams of everything. It's verrrrry helpful!

I really don't think he was trying to sabotage u. His life and eating hasn't changed and he's used to the norm. I think maybe he just was trying to make u happy on valentines day cause he loves you
-
what do they taste like? I bought some protein shots and they were so horrid that I threw them away.

Almost six months out, weight loss has stopped!
XXShelXX replied to dandeegan's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
(peeks out) that didn't sound know-it-all-ish lol great information to know though about lettuce! I had no idea! I don't think the OP would take that in a way that wasn't intended. No one likes the posts that come off snarky from Bertha Better-than-you hahahaha and we have a few here.
