Hi All!!!! My Name is Hope. I have been over weight almost my whole life. When I got pregnant with my first son I gained almost 150 pounds. I was able to lose about 75 of them, Then I got on birth control and was never able to lose the rest. As the years come on I gained a few here and there and wasn't losing anything. I became pregnant with my 2nd child and actually lost 10pounds while pregnant with him. I stayed at the same weight for years. I was then put on medication for blood pressure issues and something called vestibular migraines. It is a migraine without the headache. I gained weight with these. I was also told I was pre diabetic. this got me thinking.I have an amazing Husband of 22 years , 2 amazing sons, One awesome grandson and another grand child on the way. That is when I said enough is enough. I cant do this on my own. I go to the gym 5 days a week and nothing seemed to be working. I want to be here for all of them. I connected my dr and the rest as they say is history. My surgery date is May 21 2014. I know this is not a magic cure and that it is something I will be working on the rest of my life. ITS NOT THE EASY WAY OUT... As some people would think. I know that people will say " she took the easy way out" And I will tell them to walk a mile in my schools then tell if it is an easy way out or not.
