what liquid vitamins do you use?

BTW, Lessnless, I thought Centrum silver was for seniors. You aren't a senior!!! Does it have more of something than the regular Centrum that I don't know about?

what liquid vitamins do you use?

I can recommend a liquid vitamin NOT to take.... The centrum liquid. It is awful! You know when you take a vitamin and you can smell it in your urine, well I imagine that if we were to drink that urine it would taste the same. YUCK!! I even tried mixing it in my protein shake so I could get it down.....bad idea!! I had to make a whole new shake-minus the vitamin. I think I spent about $8 on it and threw it away 2 days later. Damn, $8 in the garbage. I would recommend going with a chewable, but hey that's my opinion.

    Mexico...here I come!!!!! (I think!!)

Blooeyez is correct about the passport info! I had my surgery done by Dr. Huacuz (found him on group lapband trip to mexico Group Lapband Trip to Mexico) HE was great. This site is great, too. You go with a couple of other people getting banded as a group. So you are alone, but not really. Prices are average. I paid total $8,000. The Doc is a hottie too!! Good Luck!! Oh yeah, the worst part of the trip was comming back across the boarder. We had to wait in a massive line of traffic and all these people were walking through the lines selling all kinds of yummies!! I missed out on having real Mexican made Churros. Sigh.......and they were just waving them in my face!! Those bastards. LOL

    Frustrated...Excercise Smexercise

Lynn Marie don't be embarassed about you mastectomy. You don't have to have knockers to be a woman!!! Celebrate that you are alive and hopefully cancer free!!! I understand about the money situation though! Be proud of yourself because you made it through that surgery and now can live to tell about it! I know it is hard for you, but I am sure you are a much stronger woman now!! Congrats to you on your new lease on life. Chin up, hopefully it will get easier!!

    Bodybugg users report here!

Ok so you all are selling me on this BB idea, but I also read a thread about the Nintendo Wii being a good workout! I don't have the money for both. Really I don't have money for either right now but you guys are amping me up totally. Now I really can't decide! If I get the Wii them my hubby can play with me. If I get the BB it is totally solo and no playing involved. I know they are two totally different devices and because of you guys I can really see the pros of the BB. Hmmmmm, what to decide?????

    Is anyone taking Alli?

I agree with you Betsyjane. I got the band so I would quit buying into all those fad diet pills. Congrats on the weight loss!!!!

    Is anyone taking Alli?

Alli is great. Explosive, but great! I really got a kick out of this thread cause I know how explosive it can be. LOL, yeah I'm really not into wearing adult diapers yet either. I haven't tried alli on the band, but I did before. I still got some left too. I might try it. Yeah, it really clears that grease out of you!!!

    The Sweet-eaters

They are so pretty, too!! Sigh........ Ok I gotta get a hold on myself. Just think I will look so much better when I loose the donuts around my waist....and legs....and arms....and neck. Ok I'm better now!

    DONUTS....<drool, drool> I miss donuts!

    The Sweet-eaters

Oh yeah, before my banding, when I was on a diet and got a mad sweet craving I would get strawberry fig newtons. I don't like regular fig newtons. The strawberry ones are really sweet and curbed my sweet craving. I don't know how they'd do post-banding. I agree with Serena though, if you avoid them all together your cravings won't be there. Same goes with fried foods!! If you don't eat them you won't crave them. Oh God, I love fried foods. My mouth is watering just like Homer Simpson's!! <Don't think about them> Serena, I wish I was that strong!!!! Anyways, I got side tracked. If I get an unbearable sweet craving now I reach for a walmart brand chocolate slim fast. I like them better than brand name slim fast. I use my magic bullet and put about 10 pieces of ice in there and BAM I gotta frosty. Tastes just like wendy's! It is kinda low on protien, only 10g. But hey, its better than cake or ice cream. I hope I find a protein shake soon that I like, like the slim fast things. I am still searching!

    The Sweet-eaters

If I get a sugar or sweet craving I get a sugar-free cake from Publix. One piece of that and you are "white-knuckled" on the toilet!!! Most all of the sugar-free chocolates, cakes, and ice creams are sweetened with a baby laxative. Malitol and sorbitol (spelling?) I am telling you, one piece of that cake and you are rethinking the indulgence. LOL. Oh btw, let me put a disclamer on this due to all the fights breaking out on this site! This is in my opinion and experience!! Use my post as an experience that I have had. You may not experience this!! I am not stating that you should try this or the same thing will happen to you! I am also NOT saying in anyway that if you get the band or if you have the band that this will kill your sweet cravings. Choose your procedure and actions based on your feelings and common sense! Oh also consult your physician!!

    Attn: Catholics - Communion

Well all I have to say is Dang!!! Can't we all just get along and respect each other? I for one come to this site for positive feedback, and lately I have seen nothing but petty arguements. I think we are all adult enough to make our own decisions. I don't take everyones opinions as written in stone. I choose to either follow advice or not, but I will ask what other's experiences are. I hate that posters are getting attacked for posting!! If you disagree with something just say so, but like GadgetLady said, do it in a polite manner and take into account other's feelings. I am so sick of all of these fights. Anyone know of a better site than this? This site is just to petty anymore!
  14. I just got my fill a couple of days ago too. My doc told me to sit in the waiting room for about 30mins and drink water after the fill. She said don't leave if you feel any back, neck, chest, or throat pain; she said that if I did feel pain like that I might need some taken out. I didn't have any, but it sounds like you do. I did feel like I had alot of gas though, but no gas pain. Depending on how long it lasts, you might want to call your doc. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
  15. I had my first fill of 1.9cc in a 4cc band. I did ok but now when I eat mushies I feel like crap afterwards. Like when you eat too much on the holidays. Is this normal? I am only eating about 1/4 a cup and I get hungry quicker but I have no energy. Any advice?

    For Ladies Only.......

Wait, wait.....I think I am the winner for the smallest boobs contest. I am a 42B....yes ladies that is a 42B. I am sure that if they made one of those Barely B bra's in a size 42 around I could maybe fill that one out. LOL.
  17. I have a protien shake that I don't really like. I am addicted to the walmart brand slim fast (they are so awsome and better than slim fast) but they don't have much protien. Does anyone know of a protien powder that doesn't have a taste that I could add to these? Or, any suggestions on "good tasting" protien shakes would be a big help. I have tried to doctor my current shakes up with fruit but they still taste like crap. Thanks in advance.

    Isn't It Awsome...

I have struggled with my weight all my life. Before I got pregnant I was going to the gym and killing myself eating healthy food while others around me were eating Krispy Kremes. The weight lost was almost non-existant. I got my band on 8/9/07, a week later I was exercising. For the first time in my life I could see a weight loss difference after exercising. Man that was AWSOME!!!!! It made me feel so good, it made me want to go exercise just so I could jump on the scale and see it working. My weight loss is at a plateau and I am dying for my first fill, but I just wanted to share my excitement with the rest of you all. I can't wait for my fill so I can see those results again!! Thanks for listening. :whoo:

What do you tell people at work

You should just tell those skinny beyoches to F-off and mind their own business. LOL! I would love to be a fly on the wall to see their faces!
  20. Well, I had my first ever PB the other day. I though it was going to be like burping up something. Mine was a cross between a cough and a heavy. But to compare PB with vommiting, I would have to say the PB was quite nice. I mean I would prefer not to do it at all but at least it wasn't full blown puking!! LOL! Just wait TerriBarri, you will soon find out. Let me just tell you chew the heck out of meat cause that is what gets me everytime. It seems like no matter how much I chew chicken, it gets down to that band and my stomach says "no way, no how, this has gotta go!" Also terribarri the best advice we can offer is to take small bites, chew your food WELL, and don't be in a rush. This is so hard for me cause my Hubby eats like a starving child who might have to share his food with somebody.
  21. Unless you plan on going out, don't pack too many clothes. I took the clothes I wore down there, a night gown, and clothes for the trip back. Take some reading material, and can we say it enough....Gas-x. Also, if you are going to go with the carry-on bag make sure you take one with rollers or a back pack that spreads the weight on both shoulders. I took a one handle duffle bag and I was regretting in on the way back. Due to gas pain, (which mine was bad because I chose to sleep instead of walk right after surgery) it hurt to carry it on one shoulder. Hey I have an 8month old and figured I would trade the gas pain for several good hours of uninterrupted SLEEP. Hey I don't regret it at all, it was heaven. GOOD LUCK!

    Making my way....

    LOL. That was funny Susan!!!
  23. Oh Zannie I so feel for you. Are you postive that she is pregnant or could this be a plot on her part to test him into leaving you? What is his thoughts on this? First let me vent....What a stupid idiot for not using protection. What was the dumba$$ thinking...I guess he wasn't. How could he be so stupid. Not only did he throw a wrench in a good marriage but he didn't even care that he might and now maybe has brought a new child into this mess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGGGGHHHH! Sometimes men have no sense. Ok now, what you need to ask yourself is do you want to go on with him if he is willing. If you do and he is willing we all support you! Sometimes, and I am sure I don't have to tell you this, when people get together so young and have not experience other relationships it leads one's mind to wonder what it would be like. That being said, sometimes it is better on everyones part to be seperated. Sometimes going each their own way for a time will make things seem "new" again when 2 people get back together. Like you know each other from being together so long, but you don't really KNOW each other anymore. Do you understand what I am trying to say, I can't get it out like I want it. Like instead of growing together you have grown apart. Anyways, I am a firm believer in "Everything happens for a reason!" It will work out for the best in the end. I will be praying for you, and remember we are here supporting you with whatever you decide. If we always stay in our comfort zone then there is no room for us to continue grow as a person, our lives get stagnant. If you choose to end it or are struggling with what to do, maybe you need to get out and regrow as a strong beautiful woman inside and out! Taking that step is scary but focus on you getting HAPPY. BIG HUGS TO YOU! I know it seems right now that there is a tornado in your life and all you want is the sun to come out, in time you will weather this storm and be a better, stonger, happier person! One day you will look around you and see the sun, and the world and think "This is what I have been missing for so long." Everything is beautiful again and I CAN weather anything that comes my way. I can do it because I am a STRONG, BEAUTIFUL, SELF-SUFFICIANT WOMAN and no man will ever bring me down again!

Running: scared but thinking about trying it

Hey all those scared of the 5K remember that is Kilometers so it's only like 3 something miles. That is not so bad.........yeah right I know what you are thinking "SHUT UP", don't worry I am not offended because I just told myself to shut up too! LOL!! Anyways, my husband is a police officer and is currently training new recruits at the police acadamy. He tells me to warm up, walk a little at first, then run as long as you can. He says that when I feel like stopping push it just a little more starting with 10 seconds past when you feel like stopping, then stop and walk. Each time let it go a little more before you stop and you will soon be running as much as you want. Yeah, I told him that he doesn't understand because he is skinny and in shape, but let me tell you it works. Remember to that you don't just have to run or walk on a treadmill. It is actually better to walk on a road because it has the natural ups and downs bilt in; AND it is not predictable. I know that when I do it on a treadmill I am always looking at the meter saying ok I only have so much more to go. Try jumping off that thing and enjoying walking or running outside. A change of scenery always helps the mundane. I always had a hang up that I would look like a dork to people passing by. I just have to tell myself that they don't know me and I don't know them so why am I worried what they think. But let me tell you it feels good to exercise then jump on that scale and see it working. GOOD LUCK TO YOU. I hope to be joining those of you who enjoy running....i have my doubts though. I raise my glass of H2O to those of you who do it because it is not easy!!

    Making my way....

I am in the same boat, beating myself up. I was so ashamed that I stopped logging on here. I fell like such a failure. But then I called and scheduled my fist fill, which will be Sept. 22, and I got my but in gear and got back on this site. I have found that we are not alone and it is normal to go through what we are going through. Let me tell you, I have been biting my nails and looking at the date every few hours trying to will the 22nd here. I have stopped jumping on the scale checking my weight because it gets me down. I am so looking forward for that first fill. I'll be thinking about you. If you would like PM me and we can be each others cheerleaders. One thing I have found in this site is that there is so much support here it is hard to fail, and if you feel yourself falling off the wagon log on! Don't stop comming here!
