DaddyMarie replied to Mzdiva3's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
At one week I was up to walking a mile, grocery shopping and getting my hair done with my friends. You will be fine sitting in a chair for an awards ceremony. -

Tubal ligation and gastric sleeve surgery
DaddyMarie replied to mahickmore's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had a tubal and this matter was never even addressed. -
AHAHAHAHAHA!!! Your so right about the diuretic thing of course and that's what I get for doing too many things at ion e. I know what a diuretic is lmfao!!! My surgeon considers Protein shakes a liquid that counts toward your fluid intake. Why? Because they are mostly liquid. Of course go by what your own doc says. :-)

I started puréed food today and was able to eat one soft egg (scrambled and creamy) for Breakfast. It took me a good 20 min to eat it but it was wonderful! I just had a tablespoon of hummus and a tablespoon of cottage cheese and it was awesome!! If you gays don't have nausea meds take em!
-
If Protein had diuretic properties no one would be constipated. They are liquids because of all the milk/almond milk/water you put in it.
-
Yes protein shakes also count as you liquids so if they want you to get in 64 oz of water; shakes count!

DaddyMarie replied to sleeved215's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I hear ya sister! I had my surgery on the 7th and yesterday was my first BM. I thought I was going to die and when it was all said and done I was seeing stars and exhausted and sore. Lol!!!! TMI in know. I called my doc and he said Milk Of Magnesia. I have been drinking like 40-50 oz of Water a day so I get enough water. And like you I am used to going 2-3 times a day. -
Congrats Ladies! Just remember everything worth obtaining is hard, if it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. It's the hard that makes it rewarding. You gals got this!!

How much walking after surgery?
DaddyMarie replied to Fuff's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The recovery unit I was in consisted of a large circle with 22 rooms. There was a nurses station at not sides of the circle. I was up and walking circles 2 hours after surgery. I walked about 5 circles about 3 times a day. Now at home I walk around the house every 30 min or so. I also take 2 walks around the park 2 e a day for 15 min at a time. -
I eat out of shot glasses! Lol!

Hello everyone! I am 6 days Post Op and feeling pretty good. No nausea, manageable discomfort, gas pain gone; overall it's been a pretty good experience. I was just wondering what everyone's post op diets were like and what stage you were on. Tomorrow marks the first day of my puréed diet. My diet goes like this: Day 1-2 Clear Liquids Day 3-7 Full liquids Weeks 2-4 puréed Weeks 5-6 soft Weeks 6-8 regular soft Does anyone have any recipes or tips? I'd love to hear where everyone is at! Hope everyone is feeling well!
-
I'm on FULL liquids until Friday. Then I go to purée.. So for right now I can only have protien shakes, pudding, Jello, applesauce and low fat BLENDED soups.. Friday I can have Puréed or VERY MUSHY foods for 2 weeks; cottage cheese, poached or soft scrambled egg, oatmeal, blended meats, no fats, I'd kill for refried beans!!! I don't even get to go to soft foods till week 5!!!

I'm feeling head hunger big time!!! Everytime the Popeyes commercial comes on I salivate... I want a turkey bacon avocado from subway in the worst way!! And for some reason a hot meatball with cheese sounds amazing!!!

How does everyone's large incision feel? Mine is a ton better but it still hits to use muscles in that spot.
-
I was sleeved Wednesday the 7th and feel pretty good. I walk and garden and do light housekeeping. I'm really tired though. My large incision hurts like a mutha! My stomach bubbles a lot. I'm taking 6 weeks just cause I can.
