I have RA and have not been sleeved yet. I'm hoping my joints will feel better after this weight comes off. -
You look Amazing. You also look like a real party dude. (Me too) do you miss beer?

psychology evaluation today!
DaddyMarie replied to re14768's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The psych evaluation was the one test I was actually excited about. I got As in college in My Psych classes so this stuff has always fascinated me. My psych was a cool laid back hippy chick. She was nurturing, listened and calmed me. She spent an hour doing one on one talking with me. We talked about everything and I was really open and honest with her. She wanted to make sure that I have thought about all aspects of surgery and making sure I have positive outlet to redirect my addiction to to that is positive, making sure I had a clear grasp of life after surgery and my expectations being realistic. It was a breeze! -
Don't do it man!!

One last appt before my surgery is scheduled!
DaddyMarie replied to jaxhdsn's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I saw my psych today and we had a blast. She is really cool and down to earth. An old hippy chick. Totally passé me with flying colors. My last preop test is my stupid EKG And that's it! I hope to be sleeved late march or early April too!! I am 5'4 and 240.. My goal is 130. -
Endoscopy findings...
DaddyMarie replied to DaddyMarie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good lord you drove yourself!! My office would not even check me in unless Someone was there with me. I'm glad you made it home ok an everything went well. The only thing I have left is my EKG and that is in 2 weeks. We just might be having surgery the same time! -

I feel you.. I know everything will work out for you and you will be a better dad and husband in the end. Beat of luck to you! -
I know. And that's why I'm not seething with rage right now lol!! I would be sated if my daughter was going in for surgery. I just would never try to scare her even more than she must already be. Thank you all for listening!

Endoscopy findings...
DaddyMarie replied to DaddyMarie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well that sucks that your mom and hubby are being poopy. It's not a sign not to have it. That's just the way Mother Nature is. It has nothing to do with you. How many more preop tests do you have? -
Constipation is normal. Tell your doctor and they will suggest a laxitive.
-
AHAHAHAHAHA! That's so funny that you guys have mothers that say the same crap. I hope I have a smooth transition like you did!
-
Thank you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

It seems like every time someone mentions wls there is always someone's friend of a friend's uncle's cousin's neice's neighbor that died from it. Or gained their weight back. But seriously, it's just a story. Sure there are risks, but the comorbidities that are weight related will be what really kills you. Shame on your mother. I'm certain she has a legitimate fear or she wouldn't be acting out, but what an immature way to do it. If she didn't love you, she wouldn't care. So try to only take that into consideration and sit down and talk to her about it when you're both cooled off. I have a long mind fucking history with my mother and I'm not mad at her cause this crap is just normal. I just think she's out of her ever loving mind! Lmfao! Your right about her loving me though. She just has a weird way of showing it.

Thank you! :-) As a typical pre bariatric I am excited, scared, nervous, anxious and ecstatic!! She always says shitty crap. Thanks again girl!

I Lived Through This Surgery, My Sister Didn't.
DaddyMarie replied to LyndseyD's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
What was her condition afterwards? -
Oh and PS: none of you look obese! Your all gorgeous!

This is all great info! I have my EKG in 2 weeks and that will be my last prop before they submit everything to my insurance. I have Blue Shield NetValue so it should go fairly quick. I'm hoping for the first week in April.
