Where is the recipe?

Today my daughter's father really upset me. I'm so thankful that I have truly seen who he really is, but I'm hungry and want to pig out and have a drink. I'm 5 weeks post op and I'm sitting in Red Lobster wondering can I have anything in here. Am I just wasting my time?

You go Girl...next is New York And Company.

And this Lobster Bisque is horrible...I should have gone home and had Campbell's soup.

I ordered the stuffed mushrooms and ate two and I ordered a cup of lobster bisque soup. Thanks

When did you go back to work?
ladyd728 replied to sunny2day's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I will be going back to work this Tuesday. I was sleeved on the 17 of Dec, so it will be 4 weeks exactly from my surgery date. I'm happy I used my FMLA and I had a lot of PLB that I was able to use. I think everyone, if you can you should give your body time to heal. There were days that I would get short of breath just talking, I was tired a lot. I really did need the 4 weeks off. I work at a busy well known lab where I'm on my feet moving from opening until closing that evening. If you have the time, let your body heal, without returning back to work to soon. Just my opinion -
Just don't tell anyone else. The some reason people aren't happy for you when you are trying to improve yourself. You don't know what your friend has said, for the lady to make that comment. I told my girlfriend, (friends since fourth grade) that I finally got my surgery date. Let me tell you, I have not heard from her since. I have called her several times, with no answer, REALLY. I'm always there for her and now this. Just be careful with who you talk to.

You don't need to tell another soul that you are having wls. Misery loves company. I wouldn't mention it again, even to the ones that already knows. I talked about it for a week at work, when the thought first came to mind. Once I got serious I never said another word to anyone. Now four months later, when I go back to work (4 weeks later) after surgery they will never know why. They can only guess why I was out and make there comments to themselves.

Same here, I just haven't said anything about it.

I'm on soft foods now and I would love to have some turnips. Is it to soon for me to eat that?

Thanks for your response. I did get some prescribe Pepcid, but I haven't started taking any yet. I guess I need to, but I have been taking GasX. I went to the store today and bought Dulcolax, so I'm hoping it will help with the bloated feeling. I didn't think about powdered fiber, I will get some tomorrow. I had my first dumping, eating can salmon to fast, but since then I have had gas and been bloated. Don't understand why that happened cause I threw up but felt terrible since that evening. It was like everything didn't come out. I have learned my lesson, take your time.

After I eat my pureed food and let my food settle, my stomach feels bloated and puffs out. The scale has not moved in a week. I had surgery on the 17 of December. Also I feel a little backed up. Is this normal? I'm not seeing changes.
-
Thanks for your response. No, eating slow is something I'm having to learn to do. I've always been a fast eater. Today I did go out and buy some oatmeal, and cauliflower that I'm going to substitute for mashed potatoes. Today my intake on Water was better. Each day is trial and error.

And I'm barely eating three meals a day. More like two with a protein shake. I just don't have the desire to eat much.

Pain compared to c section?

Everyone is different, some people will have pain and some people will not. Unfortunately I was in a lot of pain and with pain medicine any pain will go away. -
Pain compared to c section?
ladyd728 replied to fancytiddy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This was worst I had two c-sections and I was never in this much pain. I could not stand up straight for several days. All I could think was..Omg my stomach hurts so bad. By day six the pain was gone. -
What causes stalls when I'm barely eating? I'm two weeks today post op and I have only lost a total of 24 pounds and that is with the pre op diet lost too. I'm on pureed foods and I've only been eating can salmon and eggs. I have a protein drink and I'm getting my water in. Can someone please explain why I have not lost more? Also I went walking yesterday.

Hi, I was sleeved on the 17 of December, so now I'm on pureed food. I have noticed that when I eat my back will start hurting, it feels more like spasms. I will stop eating because my stomach will also start feeling uncomfortable seems like this is the feeling I get when I'm full. Is this normal?
