I'm doing well. I was expecting worse but thanking God tht this is manageable! I'm drinking water and just introducing my pouch to other liquids slowly. I haven't had a bad experience yet but how I wish I could pass gas! My daughters en I celebrated a little gas I passed earlier today. Oh the sweet surrender letting it just flow! Hehe

I did some cream of broccoli soup added some protein powder and oh Lawdy, it didn't sit well in my precious lil pouch! What are y'all eating for diner

I was a smoker too until a week before my surgery, my doc did not test for nicotine but I decided that I was ready to kick the habit byway. Surgery went well with no complications. I'm home on day 3 and feeling wonderful! Controlled pain and drinking my water which is slowly getting easier. I'm struggling with the protein shakes. I wish you best of luck!

Finally going home from the hospital. My surgery was yesterday and was successful. Still got some pain on my abdomen but the liquid pain meds are helping a lot. I wasn't able to keep anything down last night but did somewhat well for breakfast, I hope it gets easier! Praying for y'all Dec surgeries and wishing you best of luck. Btw, I did the 2 day protein liquid diet and last 10 pounds when they weighed me before surgery! Exciting!!!!

Hi all! My surgery is tomorrow Dec 2 at 10.30 in the morning. Day two of my clear liquid diet and all Is well. I made diner for the family last night and so proud of myself no temptation! I'm a little nervous about tomorrow since this is my first surgery ever. Wish me luck guys! #newMe

Got the call from the surgery coordinator that insurance is all approved! Did my hospital PreOp appointment on Friday. Did my labs and EKG today! I have one last appointment with the surgeon Dr. Legha and the NUT tomorrow. The surgeon requires a 2 day all protein filled liquid diet which I will start Saturday and Gid willing surgery on Monday Dec 2. I'm so excited yet nervous but I believe this is the beginning of a new happy me! Current weight 290 Heaviest weight 290 Height 5'8 Ideal weight 150 Type 2 diabetes insulin dependent HTN High cholesterol Sleep apnea

I'm having surgery dec 2 and trying so hard to quit smoking. I'm down to 3-4 a day.

Did my hospital PreOp yesterday! 2 hr class and it went well! Kinda put it l into perspective tht dec 2 is coming fast. I have a Nutritional PreOp on Tuesday, my surgeons PreOp on the same day and bloodwork, EKG all on Tuesday. My surgeon doesn't require a 2 week diet but 2 days prior. So next Saturday and Sunday I will be on high protein liquid diet which the nutritionist provides! So excited yet nervous at times!

2 hour PreOp class at the Hospital today went great! Excitement as I wait for Dec 2.

Just missed a call from the hospital. Need to schedule PreOp. Meanwhile I'm still waiting on authorization from my insurance.
