My date is this coming Wed 4 more sleeps b4 getting up and going to hospital to begin my new life. I'm nervous and scared but I know why and I believe in my reasoning skills and my convictions right behind them. I am taking the list you put out to start packing today. I just had eons but didnt know about more stuff for our lips and hope cvs has it.

Hello cejiogu, what's the water w/ caffeine? I had to give up diet Pepsi my old favorite. My surgery is next Wed 3/5. I am a bit nervous. I have 12 days off after surgery. I sit at my job as a counselor. I hope that's enough.

I am on for March 5th Wednesday.im a but nervous but this site helps me too.trying protein shakes and buying all essentials.

My surgery is 3/5/14 and there is no pre-op liquid diet. Isn't that strange. This is a top rated program bc I called BCBS and asked. Good Luck

What is boost?

I have Dr. Streeter and I checked hospital and doctors with BCBS and they are second supposedly in state for success? Who knows I felt better after hearing that bc Wareham is such a small town compared to Boston or MGH

With my Doctor there is no pre op diet. Tobey Hospital wareham Ma. Dr Streeter. I have my VSG on 3/5/14....hurray!!

Hey New Yorker!! I am from Oswego, New York but transplanted to Plymouth, MA 20 yrs ago! Glad to hear your doing so well!! I'm scheduled for 3/5/14. They gave me an option this past Monday to do surgery today- 2 days notice but with work schedules it didn't work....so March 5th it is...good to hear your progress.

Oh my prayers are with you. We all wish you well and speedy recovery! Talk to you when your awake again on the losers side lol. Seems so weird to use those terms but great that it's in the best terms bc of WLS.

I haven't tried yet but have heard such good reviews from veterans forum some of them even have a club. But good advice is given there. Keep us posted, one thing they did say I remembered was that restriction was back on your stomach with this method.

The doctors office just submitted my paperwork Wed this past week and my approval was given within 2-3 days? Just odd it's so fast.

I received a letter from BCBS PPO of Massachusetts and I know they just submitted my paperwork....Doctors office said it can be up to 30 days. The letter today stated my surgery date was Wed 2/12/14 and I was approved...and that's a Wed the only day this surgeon operates. They didn't notify me of a date so soon...I figured the end of feb early March....I can get my boss to cover me but it has made me panic a wee bit....it feels on top of me.

I mean b4 I get a surgery date. I was figuring the end of Feb or first week in March

I also have a beloved diet Pepsi habit....haven't had surgery yet and don't know how to break this large caffeine addiction. Titrate down or cold turkey? I drink 2 liters per day. I don't like coffee or tea. Well a Dunkin Donuts coffee coolatta with skim milk but besides that no. Doctors office said after my last two appts next Friday the 24th they send all to BC/BS of Mass. For approval & it can take 30 days?? Anyone thoughts on 30 days for ins approvals? Thank you. Beth

Hello how are you feeling since your surgery date is 1/29? Have you been out to shop yet? Vitamins?

I don't have a date until my two hour appt. with the NP on 1/10/14. I'm hoping for 1st or 2nd week in February.

I was wondering about this as my prescriber spoke about switching to Ritilan for 6 weeks. Not sure but I'm sure we will all just keep our forward momentum. With smiles.....

Life is Not the Pizza Man it doesn't deliver.....you have to get up and go get it....now, just think you are doing the work and are meeting your life, your showing up for your life, ready to do the work...be well, chin up, that convertible is a great carrot if you get my drift...lol

This time next month I'll be in your place. I too have to put down Diet Pepsi. I am missing it already. I keep attempting to drink less and less every day. I believe you know how this decision is a blessing to your life. Keep the faith, you can do this. Nothing changes if nothing changes, and you are changing. Keep your head up, be the change!

I'm done with all my workshops and appts by end of January. Waiting to meet with NP on 1/10/14 to get my surgery date. I'm excited but nervous as well. I find myself having a funeral for a friend aka "food" and overeating more often than not as if I wouldn't be able to taste food again. Whew glad to finally share. Good luck on the 14th all will be well.
