So awesome! I also did the program. It's the best feeling when you complete that 20 min run. Actually each run you complete it's the best feeling. Good job! -

Weight loss stall so early into the game...feeling let down
Shelly2221 replied to Wendydarling19's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hey. I was banded on jan 22. I'm down about 13 pounds too. I was only on liquids for 4 days. Then I got the okay to eat mushies. Now today I got the okay to eat any food. My dietician who I'll be meeting with ever 2 weeks said that I should postpone my fill until I really need it. Meaning I'm doing really good with my weight loss. I eat really healthy. I eat mainly protein such as eggs or salmon. Also fresh veggies and fruits such as kale or fruit smoothies. And the other main food I eat is dairy such as 0% yogurt or 3% cottage cheese. I feel great. I understand completely how you feel. We all did this to see major weight loss. But with that said we are supposed to heal the first month and not get crazy about weight loss. I think your doing amazing and should be really proud of yourself. 13 pounds! We will get the results we want. It's just going to take some time. -
So awesome!

I'm 1 1/2 weeks post op. I feel like I'm healing nicely for the most part. But I still get very uncomfortable under my chest area. Anyone else experiencing discomfort where the port is? Is this normal?

How much food do you eat before you feel that you can't take another bite? ( 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, or 1 cup)

Hiatal hernia and banding
Shelly2221 replied to aubreynichole's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also had a surprise hernia repair when the did the lap band. I was banded on the 22 and am still very sore. Im especially sore under my chest where the incision is. It scares me. How are you feeling now? -
B52 why would you consider getting the sleeve? I always read your comments and think very highly of them. It always seems as though your are very with your band. I'm 4 days post op.

Hi Everyone. My time has come. My surgery is tomorrow Jan 22. I'm sooooo nervous. I'm not nervous about the surgery so much. I'm nervous about the life changes in my near future. I'm nervous not knowing what I'll be able to eat. I'm nervous about getting stuck. I'm nervous learning how to eat properly. Please all you vets tell me why I'm doing this. Give me words or wisdom and confidence. Ps I have a goal of losing 80 pounds. And I would love to make that happen within the first year.

Thanks. I hope it ends within the first week. I hate being such a baby.

I was also banded on the 22. My incisions are still super sore. How long did this last for everyone? And the rolling gas pains? -
Thank you. How long was everyone sore?
