    chinese food

I've heard that we are supposed to avoid rice because it swells in the stomach. That just doesn't make sense to me. So I have had rice on several occasions. I enjoy it and have no adverse effects. I am 3 1/2 mos postop.
  2. - wearing skinny jeans - putting a thin picture up on facebook - running into an ex-husband when i get to goal - getting hit on - going up 3 flights of stairs without passing out - taking a bath and having my tummy be submerged and not poking out of the water - skinny sex!
  3. I am 3 months post op. i kept a detailed food diary and thought it might be helpful if i posted exactly what i was eating at this stage. Hope it helps. Oh btw, Most of the time I mashed stuff up really well and did the chew, chew, chew routine. So mostly everything was either strained, mashed or ground up. Here it is in no particular order: Protein shakes, cream of wheat, greek yogurt, yogurt, frozen greek yogurt, milk, sf popsicles, sf pudding, sf Jello, Soups, mashed potatoes, applesauce, string cheese, salmon, chicken, a little canned fruit, avocados, eggs, bananas, oatmeal, and cottage cheese.

    Losing steam!

Sorry, the above link is for an extensive list of shake recipes. maybe changing up the shakes would help. Also, Soup is good because it has Protein and there is such a good variety out there. My pre op diet consisted of 2 shakes per day and one serving soup. The variety really helped.

Lots of NSVs. feeling really good! Check my gallery for pre op and 3 month post op pics. I look forward to being a part of the support forum. I loo

    Full liquid Stage

I was doing cream of wheat in the full liquid stage. I had no problems with it, and it tastes so good at that point. Enjoy!
  14. i get the tummy noises, too. Kinda amusing. Its not as noisy as it was when I was newly sleeved. i also get the hiccups when i eat. Getting in the Protein gets easier, but i still have trouble getting in enough fluids even at 3 months out. Good luck!

    Help Post Op Sleevers!

Great job with the weight loss. i always get that stuck-in-the-throat feeling when i get full. ive heard others say the same thing. The dizziness could be from dehydration. how much fluids are you getting in?
  16. I wish I could feel free to discuss how I am feeling. Maybe it would help someone. But if I did, would I be heard? Would I be ridiculed? For now ill keep my mouth shut and wait to see how this thread plays out.
  17. I was in for two nights and i was glad. I needed the IV fluids and the pain meds for the first couple of days. after that i was happy to get home. Good luck!!

To post a pic it is easier on the smart phone, I think. After you reply, look for the little 'plus sign' next to the send button. See if that works for ya.
