Great NSVs!! Good for you all! My very quiet, rather morose, 19 y.o. son told me other day that I looked nice and that he could really tell a difference. High praise coming from him.

Take heart!! I too had a knee injury about 4 years ago. I had a torn miniscus also. I had two laparoscopic surgeries. These failed and 3 years ago I had to have a total knee replacement. In part due to my weight, rehab was painful, long and not very effective. When I went in to be sleeved 3 1/2 months ago, I still limped a bit, had pain and couldn't exercise. Now I have lost 44 lbs and I feel great. It was so noticeable after even 20 lbs. I'm not limping. The only time I feel pain is when I'm going down stairs. I can ride my stationary bike for 20-30 mins each day. Yesterday I had to carry about 40 lbs of groceries and, wow, did that ever flare up the back and knee pain. Who knew that losing some weight would make such a huge difference! The surgery was worth it even if I don't lose another pound.

Body by Vi/visalus
Tink22-sleeve replied to Tink22-sleeve's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I believe it just comes in vanilla and then you can mix other stuff in it if you want to. It was a demo thing and they let us try it with PB2, an orange Julius type drink and one that tastes like apple pie. They were all really good. It is a little low in Protein I thought... But now I would happy to find a shake I can tolerate (I am so sick of shakes ). I Was thinking about bring a distributor but I needed some feedback first. And you guys are the PROs when it comes to protein shakes!! -
Anybody know anything about Body by Vi? It is a protein powder. I tried some and it was really good.

You look amazing!! Very inspiring!

Favorite tracking app?
Tink22-sleeve replied to asmaclare's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I also use myfitnesspal and a fitbit. I love the combo. The great thing about my myfitnesspal phone app is that i can scan bar codes and it adds them to my food diary in about 2 seconds. Fun, convenient and motivating. -

I stayed 2 nights and I was glad I did. I was happy to have the IV pain meds and the extra care. I had my sister at home to help me for the first two days at home and I was grateful. I would recommend that you have help with your little ones.

Solution for Gagging Down Premier Protein Shakes
Tink22-sleeve replied to skinnyginny's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I still like the premier protein better than any of the others. At 3 1/2 months post op it is the only brand I can tolerate anymore. (I recently tried Body by Vi and that is pretty good too, but it is a mix). -

Tink22-sleeve replied to elpaso73's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

11 weeks, 58 pounds lost. Pic included
Tink22-sleeve replied to mom2five's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Way to go!! You look fab! -
I can't stand any of them!! I made the mistake of buying a case preop and then couldn't stand them postop. I wasted $55 As with any Protein drink I would try not to buy too much stuff preop. Your taste may change, like mine did. Try the Premier Protein. Available at costco. It has 30 gms protein in 11 ounces.. It is ready to drink. No mixing and it tastes the best.
