3 weeks post op and need some diet opinions.

i think i was eating about that amount at 3 weeks. and i would eat that amount 4-5 times a day. No worries. sounds normal to me

    Cleared :)

Congrats on your upcoming surgery!! the pre op diet is a huge pain, but you can do it! we will be here to support you
  4. I think the hernia or gallbladder excuses are the best ones. no need to explain the subsequent weight loss. no one will connect the dots.
  5. I agree with mariamitani. Wait til you stabilize on your weight loss, or are done having babies.
  6. I started introducing "normal" foods at 4 weeks.
  7. I am boycotting water right now, myself!

    knee surgery before sleeve?

I had 2 miniscus repairs and finally a total knee replacement (TKR) 3 years ago. At time of surgery i weighed 220. by the time i was sleeved 5 months ago i weighed 254. The rehab from the TKR was long and awful. since being sleeved i am down to 192 and my knee feels great! I am active and feeling great! Wish i would have gotten sleeved before the knee surgery.

    Soft foods

I was at soft foods from weeks 3-4
  12. At 2 months out i was gradually introducing new foods into my diet. i never had any problems except with chicken (feels like a brick in my chest.). i avoid bread and pasta. take it slow and easy and pretty soon you'll be able to enjoy small amounts of just about anything. good luck!

Good luck with your journey. it will be worth it. the sleeve is a wonderful tool. i think this site has a wealth of info that will help you along the way, as well as some really great people that dont mind answering any questions.

    Yuk! Stretch Marks

Great job on the weight loss! sorry about the stretch marks. i have heard that it is hereditary and not much you can do about it. thankfully they will fade over time.

    Pre op

yes, the pre op diet is a drag. but it helps to shrink your liver so the surgeon has an easier time. You can do it!
