Failed completely. Deeply ashamed.
mimiski replied to meyouus's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Sweetheart. I feel so sad, but not because of your presumed "failure". Rather because you have lost sight of yourself. I know this because I lost sight of myself as well. I identify so strongly with my failures that I simply cannot see my successes. I don't have any answers for you, I only have support and encouragement. You are worth it. You are strong. You are able. You are humble. You are broken. You are fixable. You are loved. There is never a point at which you can no longer regain yourself. All is not lost, as crushing as today feels, you only have to remember two things: Inhale. Exhale. Repeat (ok, three things). You are so lovely, WLS or not...you, sweetheart, are an incredible beauty. Prayers lifted for you tonight. -
I am starting the process for VSG and hoping to get some financing advice. From Montana, which doesn't require bari services to be covered by insurance...so I'll be going the self-pay route and planning on Mexico. I'm looking for any advice on reputable financing for medical expenses: I did an initial google search, but all the "sponsored" ads for financing are sketchy at best. Not sure what to look for regard medical financing, and getting a CCD is a last resort because of the interest rates. TIA! Really hoping my VSG is in the plans for summer 2016!

Thanks, Please don't assume that good financing is my only priority, it's not. I've done a lot of research regarding surgeons and am still researching. I have a top 3 and my next step on that end is setting up individual meetings with their offices, but I wanted to check on the $$-issue before I do that so I have my information straight. Wasn't sure if I should go in with financing set up or if I should use the doctors financing options. I haven't really seen any issues with people using the financing of their particular doctor/center, but it's one of the many things I am researching.

How Long Did You Think About It Before You Decided?
mimiski posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm a new forum postee, so if this is in the wrong catagory feel free to point me in the right direction. Wondering how long you thought about getting VSG before you decided to do it. I've decided on VSG, but I've only been thinking about it a short time. I've done a lot of research so far and plan on doing more so that I'm well informed and safe... Plus I'm a self-pay so I'll have to start saving, built-in pondering time I suppose. Just curious if I'm the only one who decided pretty quickly that it was the right thing for me. I'm a single mom; I've been overweight since I graduated, freshman 15 or 50 or whatever. I've lost and gained a variety of ways including good ol' diet and exercise and I plan to continue being active, but I need more control that I don't feel I can self-impose I guess. It's great to find a community of people that support unconditionally. I've only told a few people of my desire and from their reactions, I'll be limiting the future "bean-spillage" to close family. Thanks for your lovin! -

Thanks everyone for sharing your stories with me. I decided to do it about a week ago and I've been submerged in research ever since. I'm excited for first time in a LONG time and actually feel something akin to hope! You've been so helpful, thank you!
