I now get a ice water in a to go cup so the servers can't tell if it's empty and I don't put a straw in it to remind myself not to drink -
check sodium content. May be making you retain water.

HW 249 sleeve weight 239 CW 165!! Surgery date 11/11/13 loving it! -
I'm 4 mos post sleeve and my hair is definitely still falling out. I've read not to bleach it but rather to color it. I'm afraid if I do anything to it, its going to make the thinning more obvious but I have tons of gray hair around the front of my face and need to do something. Any suggestions? How long did everyone wait before highlights?

I have the same problem and take black cohosh (natural supplement) and it really helps. I think if I didn't take it, because I take biotin after sleeve, it would be worse.

I would like to see your " most have" foods.
Branmuffin replied to Inactive Profile's topic in Food and Nutrition
Greek yogurt, Cottage cheese Beef jerky Kashi protein cereal Braums fat free milk Smart protein Chicken salad Tuna salad Fried eggs Cheese sticks Blackened chicken with melted cheese White beans and ham Refried beans and cheese Deli ham Cheeseburger and mustard- hold the bun Almonds Peanuts -
I love dannon light&fit greek! Coconut is my favorite but I like strawberry as well and just got strawberry cheesecake to try as well as chocolate raspberry. I don't care for the blueberry or the raspberry. I shake it up before opening and that takes care of the separation.

Miralax daily -
Sounds like how I felt when I ate too much too fast early on. Be careful adding new food into your diet so quickly.

Think it's the idea that you swallow a lot of air while chewing but I chew with my mouth closed

Do you as a hairdresser think the specialty shampoo helps to keep your hair healthy after surgery? Mine is dry and I'm thinking of getting the keratin treatment done to help with it.
-
Well I talked to my hair stylist who's been doing hair over 20 years and she said go for it with the color so I did. I didn't do highlights or any bleach because it's breaking so bad right now but the color looks tons better and I feel lots better with my grays covered.

need some tough love from my fellow vets!
Branmuffin replied to coops's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
I'm not a vet but a friend of mine has been going to a compounding pharmacy and they have a person there she meets with and does testing on site for her hormones. She is doing Tons better doing the bio identical hormones. I had a partial hysterectomy 7 years ago and plan on checking into it for myself this year.
