Lucky # Sevens- July 07 Bandsters

Wow! I've finally hit the 6 month mark. This hasn't been bad at all. Only thing. Since mid-October I haven't dropped but a couple of pounds. I've had 2 fills. Just seems as though I can eat a lot more than I should be. I guess it must be time for another fill. Hope that will jump start me back on my journey. Love reading everyone's progress. It's so motivating. Hopefully in 6 more months I'll be at my goal. Good luck to everyone!

    Blowing It With Christmas Goodies

Thanks for the tips. I especially like the one about brushing the teeth after the sweets. I work a 12 hour shift 3 nights each week in a computer room. That's one of my biggest problems. We have a festive table set up all through the holiday. So it's staring me in the face. I will be working tonight and tomorrow night so just a few more nights and I've got it licked. I wouldn't trade my band for anything. I also had pictures taken this year that I'm actually happy with. It's so amazing who this can affect how we feel about ourselves. Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to everyone on this journey! :brushteeth:
  6. For about 3 or 4 days while attending Christmas functions and with all the cakes, cookies, candies and pies at work.......I've just blown my good record of staying away from sweets. How do I get back on track? Is anyone else dealing with this. I weighed this morning and for the first time, I've put on a couple of pounds. :hungry:

Please sign me up! For the past month I haven't had much luck. Maybe this will get me back on track.
  8. I've been on Zoloft for 10 years so I didn't want to stop as this has always worked so well for me. About a week before I was banded, I started taking the liquid Zoloft. The stuff taste so bad so I had to find the best solution to get it down. Now, each night before I go to bed, I add the liquid dose to a small glass of low acid orange juice. It's the only way I can get it down. Works great for me.

    July 2007 Bandits

Hi, I was banded on July 6th, 2007. In the last 10 years I've put on 100 pounds and just couldn't get it off and keep it off. I'm so happy with my LapBand and even more happy to be shed of 30 pounds as of today. Would anyone else who had their surgery in July like to join in and share their journey?

    List of Protein rich foods/values

Does Lean Cusines fit into the Lap Band diet? I love those and they are so convenient.

    new band member

I was banded on July 6, 2007. The week prior I lost 11 pounds to get prepared for the surgery. Since surgery I have lost 11 pounds. So total of 22. Tomorrow I go for a doctor's visit. Still sore in my right side. At this point, I haven't been hungry at all. I hope to lose 65 more lbs.
