Thanks for posting judyr! makes me feel like im doing what i need to do. i havent lost anything this week so maybe hit a baby plateau. lost ~20 the first 2 weeks now im stuck. I have been nursing 2 sick kids and a hubby who have had the intestinal bug from hell and im still on pain meds for a few more days. think i felt my internal stitches pop/disolve the other day, and a lot of my pain from my major incision went away. back to the gym for walking soon i hope! no way am i walking on these icy snow covered sidewalks

Im 2 days shy of my 4 week post op. how is everyone doing? im currently on soft foods, if i can chew it i dont do it. i get gas stuck in my pouch a lot after my first bite and it hurts so bad that i stop eating. im getting about 600 calories in a day and am so sick of protein drinks. having a hard time getting my water in too. so busy feel like im running all over all day every day. im really hoping that after christmas things slow down.

DId you get to go home today ? I'm hoping seeing your lil girl and being in your own bed and surroundings made you feel a lil bit better. My kids are home after not seeing them for 5 days. i swear they each grew 5 inches. what did those grandparents feed them?? life is slowly getting more normal. still sipping about 30oz of water and focused on the protein shakes. im a hairdresser and i really dont want to lose any hair. still feel full 90% of the time and not craving anything- altho my smeller seems to have magnified. everything smells so much more. good and bad unfortunately lol

i had all those what ifs as well. they go away as nerves turn into excitement for your new life. the scariest "What If" i had was What if i dont have surgery? is that life what i want for my kids? that one question and answer put all the other what ifs into perspective for me. i hope you do well in surgery

omg i thought i was the only one ! i DID have a breakdown on night 2. i cried uncontrollably for a half hour. i was in so much pain and the nurse was taking her time getting the meds and it was just more then i could handle. apparently it was shift change and the next nurse who was a young thing and was like wow what can i do? got me my meds and she gave me a big hug and let me cry, sometimes that is all we can do. you're not alone *HUG* the gas - try walking it really does help, even standing helped me burp. and you may if youd like shout and curse at that crystal light for making you feel so bad!

it will get better, stage 2 is hard the first day but it gets better. im still really sore as well but the gas is moving its way out today. never in my life have i ever passed so much gas! im wondering at this point will it end? im also having a hard time with fluids, im getting about 30 oz of water a day right now and i feel so full as well. hopefully that swelling goes down soon. im focused on the protien shakes mixed with water for my 60 grams and my water intake atm. baby steps ! i was sent home on day 3 and i feel like i was ready. i did enjoy my own bed... until i realised i had to pee every 3 hours all night long and i had to jump out of it. im only 5 foot tall and my bed is elevated to say the least. so we found a stool for me to hobble up and down. feeling much better this evening and less sore every hour. my kids will be returning in the morning from their grandparents and i think i'll be ready to hug them without wincing. been huggin on hubby a lot and just enjoying the time he took off from work. youll get there lindsj and i promise it gets better!

my prilosec makes me dizzy and my anti nausea meds make me sleepy. i seriously doze off mid conversation lol. hubby thinks its cute cuz i act drunk. im like i need to sip water theres no time to sleep!

My surgery went great, no complications im home and healing sipping Water and Protein shakes.

Kat you're more then welcome to stay. I don't think any of us mind you had a sleve. Lol So today my new tummy woke me with what sounded like an angry cat yelling. I didn't feel hungry but I guess I was. My hubby was very amused.

Happy birthday linds. They sent me home. I get to be In pain in my own bed tonight. Couldnt be happier.

Surgery went great. I'm in minimal pain. Just some gas on left side and a little in The new pouch. Doing a barium test for leaks thismorning then I start on clear liquids. Hope everyone goes as smooth as mine went!

From start to finish it took me about 16 months. It was frustrating at times waiting on all the steps to fall into place, and after a couple insurance snags im finally going to have my RNY tomorrow morning. Congrats on your appt and getting the process moving again

ill be heading into surgery in 12 hours! liquid diet isn't so bad and my tummy has settled from its case of nerves Got my bag packed (except my pillow) and the kids are being shipped off to stay with grandma and grandpa for a week. IM READY!

I have always had a nervous tummy, it seems someone let it know its about to be renovated in a couple days because tonight im anxious and it HURTS. starting my 2 day liquid diet in the morning and really not looking forward to dealing with a grouchy tummy.

I was told the pre-diet is to shrink our livers so the doctors can have more room to operate. mine is a 10 day diet with 2 day liquid before. ive been doing it for 4 months however and i lost 60 lbs from it. its brutal but wanting to get under 300lbs before surgery was a big motivator.

you both look amazing! I hope to be that small soon! one week til surgery i also hope to keep some of my curves. im afraid i wont have a butt anymore lol. As my parents got older their butts disappeared. heres hoping i have a lil cushion left when im done lol.

My surgery is scheduled for Nov 20th, been on this road for about a year. Ive lost 60 lbs so far and cannot wait to start my new life. Im coming to grips that i have to say goodbye to my best friend (food). Im having RNY. First time posting on this forum. I hope everyone does well!
