Jr64, I think you are doing great. In 4 weeks ,7 lbs=1 1/2-2 lbs a week. You won't fail. I wish I was doing that good. I'm good if I lose that in 2 months.

Yes, BCBS paid for my lapband, too. That is really cheap for a complete TT. I haven't really been pricing them, but I would love, love, and did I say love? to find a dr to do mine for that price. I wish you all the best and you won't be lacking (poor) in anything except the tummy part. LOL

    Miss French Fries??? Try this!

Is this recipe you were talking about Georiga Girl? Thank Goodness It's Faux-Fried!Been craving those CRAZY fried green Beans from T.G.I. Friday's? WAIT. Before you order, check out our HG-ized version... Ingredients: For Dip 3 tbsp. fat-free mayonnaise 2 tbsp. peeled and chopped cucumber 1 tbsp. fat-free sour cream 1 1/2 tsp. dry ranch dressing/dip mix 1/4 tsp. wasabi paste dash cayenne pepper For Green Beans 2 cups (8 oz.) fresh green beans, trimmed 3/4 cup Fiber One bran cereal (original), ground to a breadcrumb-like consistency in a blender or food processor 1/4 cup fat-free liquid egg substitute (like Egg Beaters Original) 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. black pepper Optional: additional seasonings, to taste Directions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine dip ingredients in a food processor or small blender (our Magic Bullet works wonders!). Blend until smooth. Place dip in a dish, and then cover and chill in the fridge. Place the green beans in a large pot with 4 cups of Water. Bring to a boil. Once boiling, cook for 9 minutes. Carefully drain the beans, and then place them in cold water for a few minutes to stop the cooking process. Drain and dry them well. Put the egg substitute in a small bowl, and set aside. In a separate bowl, combine the Fiber One "breadcrumbs" with the spices (add extra seasonings, if you like). Cover a large baking pan with aluminum foil and/or nonstick spray. Set aside. Place about 1/3rd of the crumb mixture into a large sealable plastic bag. One by one, dip green beans into the egg substitute, and place them in the bag with the breadcrumbs -- continue this with 1/3rd of the beans. Seal the bag and shake it up. Remove the "breaded" green beans, and place them on the pan. Repeat this process two more times, so all of the beans are coated. Pop the pan in the oven and cook for 16 minutes, flipping green beans halfway through cooking. Beans are done once they're crispy. Allow green beans to cool slightly, and then serve with the dip. Yum! MAKES 2 SERVINGS Serving Size: 1/2 of recipe (dip included) Calories: 129 Fat: 1.5g Sodium: 881mg Carbs: 32.5g Fiber: 14g Sugars: 5g Protein: 7g

    Miss French Fries??? Try this!

thought this would be goodHG's Fiber-ific Fried cheese Sticks Mozzarella FixBefore creating these cheesy faux fried hunks of heaven, we had totally given up on the whole mozzarella sticks thing. Total bar food... completely greasy and horrible for you. Not anymore, thanks to (you guessed it!) a box of Fiber One and our trusty blender. Check out this super swap and prepare to be wowed (and filled with cheese!)... Ingredients: 2 light mozzarella sticks (50-60 calories and 2.5g fat per stick) 1/4 cup Fiber One bran Cereal (original) 2 tbsp. fat-free liquid egg substitute salt, pepper & Italian seasonings; to taste Optional: low-fat marinara sauce (for dipping) Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a food processor or blender, grind Fiber One to a breadcrumb-like consistency. Place crumbs in a small plastic container with a lid. Season crumbs with as much salt, pepper and Italian seasonings as you like. Set aside. Cut cheese sticks in half, so that you have 4 sticks. Place sticks in a small bowl, and pour egg substitute over the top of the sticks. Swirl egg substitute around so that it thoroughly coats the sticks. One by one, transfer sticks to the container with the crumbs. Cover container, and give it a shake to coat the sticks in the crumbs. Carefully return sticks to the dish with the egg substitute, and coat them again. Next put sticks back in the crumbs container, cover, and shake once more to coat (try doing this two at a time the second time around). Place sticks on a baking dish sprayed lightly with nonstick spray. Spritz the tops of the sticks with a quick mist of the spray. Place dish in the oven, and bake for 10 minutes (or until the first sign of cheese oozing out). If desired, serve with warm marinara sauce. Best when eaten immediately, while cheese is hot and gooey! Good morning everyone. Thanks for the warm welcome....It's a Terrific Thursday (actually it's raining and chilly). Kat....I feel ya! I hate for people to ignore me without cause, at least if I knew WHY they didn't like me then I can justify that. But you know what? It's about them and their "small mindness" cause Karma always comes back. I have a scale, but it never shows me what I want to see, :wink2:so I try not to weigh. I usually go by my clothes and then I weigh when I go to the LB doctor for a fill. I was getting my "small" clothes from my daughter (she has gained), but now she has larger sizes. I think I might be in a 14 or 12 depends on where I buy them. Walmart or Cato has been my store lately until I can lose these last 17 lbs. I do know that my 16 misses are too big. Hope you are feeling better, Suziecat.

Hello everyone, I'd like to join here. My name is Gloria, married 9 yrs, 3 grown children, 2 stepchildren (grown), 4 grands and 5 step grands. I have been on this journey since August '07. It has truly been a struggle, but I'm grateful for the lost. I'm hoping to lose these last 17 pounds by Dec (that's my next fill visit). I know I'm my worst enemy with my tool and believe me DH is no help. It's just like last night on the "Biggest Loser" when the black team went home and the spouses and parents were ALL amazed at their weight loss and BAM they go out and eat and order (not the contestants, the families) like there's no tomorrow. I know that we need to be able to be around people that can still eat the unhealthy food, but uh, can I get you help ME!!!!!:crying: and not do it. Mine you, DH needs to eat a bit healthy himself. Anywho, I love my band tool.

Lisa Lillien, author of the cookbook "Hungry Girl," shares her recipe for a guilt-free dessert. Spray a 12-cup muffin pan with nonstick spray or line with baking cups. Evenly spoon batter into muffin cups. Place pan in the oven and cook for about 12 minutes (until cupcakes have puffed up but still appear a little gooey on top). Once cupcakes are cool enough to handle, arrange them closely on a plate so that the edges are touching. Place caramel and soymilk in a tall microwave-safe glass or dish (mixture will bubble and rise when heated). Microwave at medium power for 1 1/2 minutes. Stir mixture vigorously until smooth and thoroughly blended. (Return to microwave for

GG, I put about 2 tsps in it or I might a little bit more sometimes. I fill the scoop up and measure out from it. I meant to tell you that when you are putting it in your coffee to spinkle in it and maybe it won't clump. Try it it with 1 or 2 spoonfuls and see how you like it. Don't forget to use the rest of what's left in your scoop in oatmeal or something. Then at least you've had 26 grams and if you want a shake(26 g) later that's already 52 grams plus what other proteins you eat. I had to make sure I get it in cause my hair started to thin. I'm 2 yrs out and my band doc said that sometimes 2 yrs out your hair will start to thin again. Mine never did when I first got the band so I guess it's making up for lost time:smile:. Hope I was some help for you. Oh, this fickle band of mine, but I love it and know that I would have never lost or kept this weight off had it not been for it or God.

I use the whey protein from walmart (vanilla) and slpenda and because the coffee is hot it mixes very well. If I get a small clump, I take the spoon and push it on the side of the cup and it dissolves. I use the rest in a shake or in my oatmeal or cottage cheese. It is so strange about my fill cause at first I was tight and then I could eat a little more and all of sudden it's really tight. It's not too tight, it's that I am greedy. I have read on here that sometimes the cold can have something to do with it tighten up.

Georgia girl, have you had a fill? Maybe try eating some hard proteins and see if that will keep you full longer. Add veggies and fruit. I don't do that, but I'm sure if I did I would'nt be as hungry most times. I'm tight right now and it takes me a long while to eat anything. My head says that I need more when my stomach IS telling me "no thanks" and then I PB cause I listen to the wrong one. This too shall pass. Let's just take one day at a time.. you are doing better and that's what count.

    Biggest Loser Fall 09

    4) There's some really weird vibes coming out of the former Brown team. Those two are each married, aren't they? I was thinking the same thing. Just too close for comfort to me. She even gave up her dvd from home so he could get his. I am sick of Tracey, and Liz is making me crazy about her then goes and vote Coach Mo off (which he wanted to go). Did you all hear what Mo said about Tracey when she went to spin, he said that about the wind started to blow and something weird was going on and BAM she gets the gold ticket. I too, think that was a set up. The more I watch the more I think that some of this is just a act. And could I get some cheese with all the WHINNING they are doing? LOL
