I had mine done outpatient and it was great. I had it on Thursday the 7th, so I'm on day 4 post op and I am feeling great. The first two days were hard, especially with the nausea and pain, but it was manageable. Try to drink as much as you can tolerate so you don't get dehydrated.( I did and the headache is terrible.) you will be tired, but that is normal too. Good luck! You will do great!!

I know exactly what your all mean!! I haven't been a normal weight since middle school. I am 4 days post surgery for the sleeve and I am all ready starting to freak out at how fast I'm losing weight (16 pounds since DOS)! I don't know what it will be like to be thin. But I'm so excited to see what it is like! Thank you all for being a supportive community to talk these things through! -
I'm new to this thread, I had the gastric sleeve on Nov. 7th. It has been pretty hard to take liquids, but I highly recommend that everyone try as hard as you can to take the liquids b/c the dehydration headache is not worth it! It gets easier everyday. The hiccups and burbs are the most painful part for me... I'm so excited to keep going, b/c I have already lost 11 pounds! How's everyone else doing??

I have the same problem. I am finding that the pain meds are help me. And I only take about 1/4 of what they said I should take. Did you have a hernia in your esophagus repaired too? I figured that was what was hurting the most for me.
