I only lost 4 pounds on my liquid diet for 10 days! I was so upset. That's why I needed this surgery! Once our bodies change, we can start over. Remember......you are still healing from surgery. Your not even eating yet. Once you get to use your pouch properly and exercise it will work! Have you gained? Remember struggling and starving on weight watchers or the like, then gaining!! Well, never again! Give our new pouches time:-)

I'm doing great fergie. I get to start full liquids today, so I'm hoping some protein speeds things along. Still in pain at times. I'm still sleeping in the recliner. I'm trying to branch out, but water is still my fav. I go on Tuesday to get this drain out, I'm hoping that will be a turning point also. How have you been doing?

Hi everyone. I wanted to check in, last week at this time I was soooo excited, and I know a lot of you are getting ready for this weeks surgery. I want to wish you the very best and the speediest of recoveries! Don't stress about what you pack, they will have what you need.....except Chapstick:-) you will be in my prayers. This week after surgery has gone slow for me, but I have not thrown up. I'm taking it slow. I'm sure I'll get better with time, as will you:-) Xo, Karen

Well.... I still want a darn cheeseburger. When my family eats, it just kills me! I've definitely had second thoughts. I think, what did I do? Then I try to remember, I did this for my husband and my eight year old, so I can be here for them! I just have to remember that! The pain is getting a little better, I think I can handle that. My emotions are all over. When is you surgery? I will tell you I have not thrown up once, I'm very scared of that so I'm glad it's not an issue.

So glad your doing well. This has been more difficult than I imagined, but everyday seems a little better than the last.

Feeling a little better today. Had to go get blood work. I think the pain meds were making me worse. I felt dizzy and nauseous on them so I stopped. I'm hoping I can have Tylenol. I've had a bad headache today, I wonder if it was those meds. I am still hungry, I thought that would go away? I'm still hoping.

Well, I'm home. It was pretty tough! Still in pain and nauseous. The hard part is I'm still hungry. I'm sure everyday will get easier. I'm only a few days post op.

Hello everyone. Thank you for the well wishes. I am home. I had to stay an extra night, we got a lot of snow. I am in a lot of pain, the meds at hospital are much better. I'm very nauseous. Doctor doesn't want me on more meds so I'm stuck. Here is the kicker, I'm still starving !! Hoping it gets better.

I have to be there at 530 too! I had my mag citrate at 10 this morning. I hope I'm a bout done, but it still coming. I was hoping to get to bed early, I guess not. Good luck to you!!! See you on the other side:-)

I'm taking an old robe just in case. Shampoo, toothbrush and paste, mouthwash, listerine strips, Chapstick, a book, extra undies, slippers. Any other ideas?

Thank you for all the well wishes, it really does help to lift my spirits! I've had surgery before, but this just seems so much scarier to me. To the January 20th group........ May god guide our surgeons hands! Good luck and fast recovery to us all:-)

Hello everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself, my surgery is Monday at 530am. I've been reading your forum and it is soooo helpful to get a peek at what it will be like. I am very nervous, but can't wait to put it behind me. Thanks so much for posting. It really does help. I look forward to chatting with you all after my surgery:-)

Can't wait to hear from D!! I'm doing okay Alex, excited and scared. The liquid diet is easy at this point. They will call me today with a time to be at the hospital Monday. This is gonna be a long weekend! How are you doing? Did you submit to insurance yet? Oh, I see you have to wait till the 10th. When are you hoping to have it?
