No today I have my "allowed" food. I did call my dr and told him what I ate yesterday he asked me some questions about the peanut butter and said I am ok. And that I can slowly move to the next stage...the one that peanut butter and nuts and meat is allowed he just told me to go slow and wait between bites. If I have any pain or if anything feels like it isnt going down to not have that again for a few days. He also told me to stop feeling guilty for having a bit of chocolate. he said "you didnt eat as much as you would of with out the band right?" and that I am still doing normaly.

I am staying on the plan because EVERYONE is watching. -
Wow congrats. I bought a scale last night. I am hoping it will keep me focused on the goal.

I want to give myself rewards for hitting small goals I am thinking 20 dollars and under. non food items. non clothing items. I would love some sugestions on what kind of rewards I should think about and maybe What kind of goals would be good. My ideas so far are: Each 25lb loss Every 2 weeks I go to the gym 5 days I am thinking about having some of my friends gather the rewards (my money) and wrapping them up and putting them in a basket so I can unwrap one when I hit a goal Please Help me

OK I did bad yesterday too. first day back to work. I can eat almost everything. No hard meat but everything pureed and creamy. I ate 3 chocolate truffles 2 cookies and 2 spoonfulls of peanut butter. I ate it all slowly but I ate it. so last night I went out and bought a scale. the first scale I have ever owned. I am hoping that will help me a little. I did start my period today so I kind of understand why I ate the chocolate and peanutbutter. But I am not going to beat myself up about it. OK I am going to TRY not to beat myself up about it. lol I am going to enjoy the new years. I am not on a diet. I am working on a lifestyle change. and change takes time.

Maybe it was the stress of worrying about the cost stressed your band making it restrict.

How long (timewise) does it take to feel full?
Cerrin replied to holly369's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am on mushies. I ate mashed potatoes yesterday for lunch I had about 1/2 cup when I was stuffed. About 10-15 minutes. The thing is I eat a lot slower cause I am worried about anything comming back up. You want to do everything in your power not to throw up the first 6 weeks (according to my dr) So I eat a lot slower. It was hard for me to stop eatting the potatoes because they tasted good. But I had to remind myself to stop and I can have them later if I wanted. Personaly I have issues about not getting the food if I stop at some point. If I dont eat it now I am not going to get it again. comes from childhood I think. I hope that answers your question. Good luckk and a positive outlook helped me recover super quick. -
LOL ok I just got banded last week. LOL But I burp every time I eat or drink. I guess it is not going away. lol I better learn to be a little more lady like with my belching then lol or my grandma is going to smack me when she sees me lol.

Cerrin replied to She Smiles's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
LOL this thread totaly cracked me up Thanks everyone. I had a Nutritionist that asked what my favorite food was. I said Ice cream and my sister said popcorn. she then forbid us to eat either and said we would lose weight that way. Yeah right....I was 10....no ice cream....whatever! -

I think it is an awsome Idea to keep you positive about your body! sometimes I get too stuck on a number and dont think about all the inbetweens. I think this is a great idea. Do it now then do it when you hit goal. -
I had one of those I marked it down to tension. I was watching a movie and it made me all tense and I had one of those pains. My dr said our insides will work a little differently now the port is attached to the stomach muscle so if it gets tense then we might have a different feel for a while till we get used to it.

A thread for super-sized bandsters - starting BMI over 50?
Cerrin replied to Wheetsin's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
For me I am 5'4" and I am also shooting for 150 as an ultimate goal. I will reevaluate it when I get closer but I think 150 sounds small enough for me right now. heck 200 seems pretty far away right now. But I know I will get there if I work hard and dont look at the numbers. I have to go buy a scale this week. My fill dr requiers a once a week weigh in on your own scale or he will not do a fill. So I have to go buy one. -
I woke up on my stomach the other day too. I dont hurt very bad either. My dr fixed a hernia too Alll I have is burping and a bit of soreness not too bad though. Actualy I feel amazingly great for having surgery.

banded on the 19th I have had tomato soup, Cream of Brocoli soup hot coco and protein shakes. My surgion said he put in the larger band and I should heal faster and progress thru my stages faster but to just take it smarter and to not rush it. He also said to not worry about the calories just to make sure I drink my protein. And to enjoy the nice christmas. I am burping a lot too. I thought it was just me. glad to know it is normal -
Sorry Grannyk to hear your doing so poorly. I am amazed at how wonderful I feel. I was up and walking the same day of surgery Wedensday, Thursday I was feeling pretty good, Friday I went out to the movies and the store by myself, Saturday I went out and about and had soup, yummy, and today I am at the coffee shop on line talking to all my friends. the only pain I have is from the scar sites well 2 of the 5 the other 3 just itch...lol the 2 that hurt is the one at my brest bone...it is brused and tender. And the port site above my belly button, not that I can see my belly button lol but it is above that lol. I have even been sleeping on my stomach. I dont have much gas pain but I do have a lot of burping. I am all ready to move on with the healing and jet to working out. I bought scale on line and am ready for the numbers to go down. lol
