    Try not to go crazy with the dining out before surgery. You CAN eat everying AFTER surgery...ok a few weeks After surgery. But you can still eat it. So dont go too crazy before their is no need your only giving it up for a few weeks. You can still eat it all just not as much as you used to.

    I am staying on the plan today because yesterday I did a 15 min mile! Woo Hoo! 1 mile in 15 minutes and I didnt die!

    I did a 15 minute mile! On the Elliptical last night I did a 15 minute mile. AND I DIDNT DIE!
  6. I have thyroid issues also. An over active thyroid is BAD. It can cause many medical problems.Just because your doctor wants to cut it back a tad is not a bad thing he is helping you.

    I am staying on the plan today because I set a personal excercise goal. I am ready to get the scale moving in the downward direction. I am aware that this is the time in every other diet that I give up. I refuse to give up this time.

    Couch to 5K on treadmill?????

    My ankles were hurting me really bad the night after a treadmil work out. When I talked to my DR he told me to stop the tread mil and do the bike or if I felt I must do the Elliptical. I have been working on the Elliptical for about 2 weeks now and I am up to 13 minutes. I have to say I am super impressed with myself. Last night I was n the elliptical for 13 minutes but I was pushing it hard. I did .75 of a mile in 13 minutes. WOW I really felt that work out...but my ankles were ok last night. When I started on the Eliptical I could only do a few minutes. BUt now I am doing 13 and increasing every time I get on it. soon I will be able to go for a full 30 minutes then who knows an hour? Personaly I am impressed with myself. Ask your Dr. They can help.

    I will take thos vanity pounds about now. Grrr I am kinda stuck at a plateau. Very frustrating.

    Have you had your second fill?

    wHEN DID YOU HAVE YOUR LAST FILL? I had my 2nd about 2 weeks ago and Just yesterday was the first time I felt any restriction. Weird I know but it is actualy quite comon to have delayed restriction. After my first I felt no restriction. I also thought they didnt put enough in. but when I talked to my dr he said. You have to be able to swallow. Thay is why he took that little bit back out. but he also told me with the first few fills the swelling is there and when they fill the band it seems tight because of the fat that is there. after a little while the fat moves or is gone and it seems looser. Hope that helps.

    Barium Swallow is the worst part of the whole day. You are in X-ray and you have to swallow this watered down chalk stuff it is thick and nasty. But it hases to be done. Then they gice you this gassy bubbles in crystal form to swallow and they give you a tiny bit of water to swallow it with and you will want to burp or puke. DONT PUKE OR BURP you will have to do it all over again. (Bring mints and water for after) ick:thumbdown: You will talk to a nurse. I sugest you bring all the medications you take. Either bring them in or write them on a paper with amount and how often. You will have your heart tested to make sure it is in good shape. basically your in a chair and they hook you up to test. Then they let you have lunch/breakfast. not much of a selection. so bring something if you can. Then you go to a class room and talk about what you can eat before surgery and how you should eat after surgery. Super nice people. Then you go up to the excercise room and get weighed and measured. and talked to about excercise and the such. I sugest taking the day off work it does take a while. And wear comfortable clothes and shoes. So your heading into an exciting time:thumbup: good luck

    Have you had your second fill?

    My first fill was 5cc the second fill was 3.5cc total of 8.5cc I think they only total what they add not what they take out. I got stuck today on chicken! Man I am so happy! I know it seems crazy to be happy over that but I was afraid I would never feel restricted. I can eat a bunch and the chicken did go down fairly quick but I was stuck for a few minutes. can we say ouch. I need to chew better. OH PB is Productive burp. It is when you eat a lot and you BURP up food. Sometimes it results in puking if you burp a lot of food up but usualy it just resettles the food. This is stuck and slime "when your eating and something gets stuck in your chest, it hurts a whole lot and you start to spit up slimy saliva and if you drink you just spit up more saliva, you usually have to wait for it to go down."

    I had my first stuck yesterday. I was eatting and talking swallowed chicken with out chewing completly. I couldnt swallow and I couldnt burp. I went to the bathroom and waited to throw up...and It went down within a couple minutes. I am so not tight enough. Because I know it should not of been able to go down.

    I get that. It is the thick kind. it is not sliming.. that is totaly different. All that is, is normal snot. just phlem. I just cough mine out.

    3 Month update and Goal

    I am hoping for a 5 lb loss this month....I want more but heck I will be happy with 5 lb loss. I am working out on the elliptical 11 minutes right now and I am going to increase it to a full 30 minutes by the end of the month. And eatting home cooked meals too. and NO drinking till an hour after I eat.

    Anyone else at a standstill??

    I havent taken any after pictures. I am kinda scared that If I take them I wont see any difference. and That scares the bejesus out of me. I am thankfuly in a size 28 jeans but I worry that it is a fluke I fit into them. How do you find out how many calories your body needs to lose weight?

    Thanks Jack, I keep forgetting that I need to be patient and keep working out. I am just tired of the same numbers. I want them to go down. grrr I dont know what I would do if I had the same numbers for that long I would like to think I would stay strong and work out and eat healthy...but I dont think I would...I would probably be a baby and cry and wine about it..I mean come on It has been a month for me now and I am wining about it...still working out like crazy though.

    Treadmill VS Elliptical

    I have to say I have been doing the Elliptical more and I really am starting to like it. I am up to 11 minutes then I walk on the treadmil for 20 minutes. I can walk much faster on the elliptical and I really get my heart pumpin but my ankles dont ache at night.
