New Lease On Life

I did not drink milk for about 4 months after my surgery and if up to my doctor and nut, still would not. Anytime i drink milk or eat any kink of milk products i have to go really bad and end up with lots of gas. I love my yogurt and won't give that up even though it causes gas and bloating. Maybe back off the milk and see if that helps. Good luck.

Thank you Lord for miracles and that is just what happened with you. I know how I felt reading this and I cannot even imagine the nightmare you described. It is not always better to save money on the important things, like your health. I am so glad that you get stronger each day. Praying for you.

Wondering if there is anyone on here that is in my area? We have support groups but I have not found them to be that helpful.

Well it's been awhile since I have been on the site. Hope everyone is doing well. I have lost over 70 pounds since October. 29th. Have been working out at Anytime Fitness off of Kedron in spring hill. Love it and it is so clean and the equipment is really good. You can also get a trainer for around $10 a session. There is a support group that meets in Franklin that meets the 1st Monday of the month. I think anyone can attend even though it is done by Centenial. I am doing my 1st 5K in Franklin on April the 1st. Walking not running. I am excited. Let me know if any of y'all would be interested in getting together and do our own kind support group.

Can someone help me with this. I lost 49 pounds in 2 months and for the last 2 weeks I have lost nothing. I don't eat anymore than I have in the 1st 2 months. It is about 500 to 600 calories a day. Please tell me what I can do to jump start the weight loss again.

A friend of mine had her surgery a year ago and is in her mid 30's and never been pregnant. She is due the 23rd of January and is doing really great. Just make sure you follow your doctors instructions and you should do great.

Don't worry, you will be able to do it with no problem. I have always had little to no willpower and have not had one bit of problem except once day. I am a person that likes foods that crunch. Well you can imagine nothing we will be eating has crunch. Did not have a problem with Christmas or New Years. I am lucky since I has no kids and my husband that cooks. I live in Columbia and work in franklin at Ford. I have lost almost 50 pounds since my surgery on October. 29th. Need to start working out. Going to a gym off Kedron Rd. We can support each other.

The Unjury soup is great and I have found that for protein shakes GNC Total Lean Rich Chocolate is great and Core Power light banana/strawberry is really, really good.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch at a meat and three. I got turkey that came on dressing and all I started to eat was the turkey. Did not touch the dressing, even moved the turkey off of it. When we walked in and I sat down I started to not feel well. I ate about 3 or 4 bites of turkey and told my husband I was going to the car. He came right out and we started home. We'll I quick grabbed in the back seat the Wal-Mart bag and emptied it out and got sick. It was not a full out sick just kind of brought up more icky liquid. Has anyone had this happen and what could have caused it. Thanks.

Know people said after surgery that are breath is really bad. What has anyone found to help with that. I have always chewed gum, but that does lead to a lot of gas. I got some sugar free hard candies and tried one and thought I was going to die of gas pains. Does anyone have some suggestions on what I can try?

Had my surgery at the end of October and have felt great. Today I had gas pains that it about made me sick. The only thing different that I had was sugar free hard candies. Has anyone had this from hard candies or can think of anything else that May have caused this?

You would really be surprised how we judge people and what they would say. I work with a lot of young young super active people. I am 57 and they are so excited for what I have done and what is to come. You need a good, strong support system and my thought is the more people that know makes me accountable to them also. You will be really surprised with how quick the weight comes off. Mine was the 29th of October and today it was 22 lbs. Good luck to you.
