Ladies, what do you consider your ideal dress size ?
TheNewSusie replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm 5'6" and 160 in a 4/6, at almost 3 years in July I still want to lose 15 -20 more pounds -
I'm getting married in October and it is stressful to plan a wedding, but I also think it's one day that is our new day to the rest of our lives. I thought about eloping but my parents would shoot me! I'm Palestinian and come from a strict culture back ground. After some thought I said ok it's one day and now I'm on my way to a great day with all the ones I love. I'm greatfull they cut down the wedding party from 3-400 to 200! I didn't want all that.

Tired of seeing 165, my dream number is 147! Should I liquid it for a week to jump start? Feeling like a failure and I need some guidance. Sometimes I eat enough and sometimes I don't. Getting to where I wanna give up. Does liquiding it help to jump start? I wanna see 158 again and be at goal. I'm 21 months post op. Down 90 pounds

Jump start to liquids?
TheNewSusie replied to TheNewSusie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for the reply. I tried 5:2 but can't do it because I'm a type one diabetic and had too many lows. Breakfast is my iced protein coffee, then something protein and veggie for lunch and dinner and I have 2-3 ounces of cheddar cheese as snacks through out the day. Sometimes I have two eggs for breakfast -

Men, does a woman's loose skin affect you at intimate times?
TheNewSusie replied to Dr-Patient's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Great topic because this bothers me with all my loose skin! I am engaged and in a long distance relationship until I get married in October, and everytime I'm with my fiancé I seem to be so self conscious about how I look. I get tired of wearing the spanx things and I know I can hide it, some ways, but it bothers me. He says he's fine with it but it's my new mission to get a LBL and breast lift. -
I'm 21 months out and stick to 20-30 carbs max and I'm down 90-93 pounds. (7-10 to goal) Low carb is what works for me and also don't take insulin anymore (type 1) when I stay away from processed carbs. Occasionally I'll have a bite or two of rice but I really avoid all carbs, inless it's a veggie. I notice the minute I eat carbs I feel tired and sluggish and gross! Lol. I drink sugar free things due to my diabetes but I eat everything and I don't believe in fat free or low fat because it's filled with sugars and carbs. Real fats r my fuel and I need them, in moderation.

250 to 160 21 months out -
I'm a chef and have had no problems with smells or tastes, I just need less salt than I used to and couldn't do spicy after the beginning. I'm 21 months out now and just can't have too much sugar or fruit or I will dump and be in pain, so I stay away.

TheNewSusie replied to fran2014's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I still take omeprazole twice a day. Barely take insulin (type one) and a size 4/6 -

TheNewSusie replied to fran2014's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'll be two years out in July and still 12-15 pounds from goal. Tried so much and I guess I'm stuck at 160 at 5'6" -
I'm on the north side but I drive all over Houston.

At 21 months post vsg and 6 months to my wedding I want to kick things up and try to tone up, yes I have some excess skin and I'm trying to avoid plastics because so many people tell me if I kick things up I can do it on my own (my brother , a freak about working out after losing a lot of weight when he was younger has gotten rid of his skin) tells me I can and I was reasearching body by vi for a 90 day kick start challenge and would love to hear reviews before I spend $200 a month .

At at 21 months post vsg I had a kids gluten free pizza at my work the other day and it was great! I work in an all organic green and gluten free restaurant and decided on pizza. An hour later I checked my bs and it was at 82 after 3 small pieces. Being type one I was excited! It was yummy and thin crust with a crunch.
