Heres my criteria for Protein bars: - more grams of protein than carbs - no added sugar - low in fat - under 150 cal - gluten/grain free - 17 grams protein per bar Pumpkin Protein Bars makes 9 bars gluten/grain free, sugar free, low in carbs and calories, and of course high in protein! 4 TBS coconut flour 3/4 cup vanilla Protein powder 2 teaspoons cinnamon nutmeg and pumpkin pie spice to your preference [i used 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, 2 t of p.p spice] 1 teaspoon baking powder pinch of salt 6 egg whites 1 cup pumpkin puree 1.5 t vanilla extract stevia to taste [ I used fresh vanilla bean]Mix dry ingredients in a bowl (flour –> salt). Mix wet ingredients in separate bowl (egg whites, pumpkin, vanilla, stevia). Add wet to dry. Spray 8×8 pan, and bake for 30 minutes at 350F Love it!! I know whats going into the bar, and I can control the sugar amount. In this case: none! After cooling in the pan, I cut into 9 bars, wrapped them up and put them in the fridge so they last for the week. If you try these let me know how they come out!

Use Your First Six Months Wisely
TheNewSusie replied to june13sleever's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree you have to try your best the first 6 months to a year and change ur life around, but IMO, you do not need to work out four hours a day. 1-2 hours is plenty, and if u do things right, your body will still burn afterwards, after an hour or two or working out, your still kinda wasting ur time, because ur body can only do so much and u really don't want to over exhaust ur body. Keep ur calories low, carbs and fats low, and drink that water, it will pay off whether u lose fast or slow. -
Halloween Contest October 31 2012
TheNewSusie replied to sexyme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was 8-10 pounds away from my goal of 195, oh well, I guess I set my standards way too high, but that kept me motivated. I did lose 15 pounds, so I'm ok with that. -

U can whip them with done cream is tartar. Whip until they get a bit whiter, also don't flip them more than once it they will fall flat. -

I was sleeved July 7th and I'm down 48 pounds. Sometimes I feel like a slow one, other times I don't, I started at 250 and now 203, I think I've hit my second stall after I lost 17 pounds. I guess my body needed a break, lol.oh well as long as it comes off.

So I'm curious on how often people stall, just out if curiosity. Last time I stalled I was 218/220, now I'm 203/204 and I think I might be again. Not sure, but this popped in my head and I'd like to know others experiences with the dreaded stall! Lol. I'm trying to get to onederland by my bday in 2 weeks exactly, it's driving me nuts!!

How Often Do You Stall?
TheNewSusie replied to TheNewSusie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for the opinions everyone....I enjoy reading/ hearing positive posts when I'm curious about something. As far as weighing in once a week, it doesn't bum me out if I stall or what not, I weigh myself to keep myself accountable. It's motivational for me as I'm sure for others as well. I have many goals I want to reach whether its a weight on the scale or a size I want to drop. I don't compare myself to others, neither do I depend on a scale. If I set personal goals that's my preference becAuse I know in the end I will reach my ultimate goal -
Just curious on everyone's carb count intake daily. My doctor tells me to stay between 30-40 but I try to keep it btw 20-30. What about everyone else ??
