Anyone With Diabetes Prior To Surgery?
TheNewSusie replied to jamari's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My preop was a mix of clear and full liquids. I drank a lot of Water and sf drinks like crystal light. (Which I hate now) I always have glucose pills in my purse just in case it drops, but I used a lot if skim milk and glucerna shakes (for diabetics) to keep my bs leveled. I also cut back on insulin and kept track of my bs levels. Any thing I can help with let me know, . My a1c before surgery was 11.4, now it's 7.2 according to my blood work last week. Good luck! U will do fine! -

Those With Diabetes...i Need Help
TheNewSusie replied to ShrinkyDinkMe22's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've been type one for 16 years so its a little different for me because I am insulin resistant. I had blood sugars that were in the 300's and no other symptoms. Definitely see your doc about this. The sleeve has saved me, I must say. I have normal to perfect sugars now and take 7-10 units of insulin opposed to 60 units daily with high sugars and bad eating habits. -
How's everyone doing ? Any updates ??

I know some people get tired of the topic of stalls but this is a support group, right? So here I am obsessing about this second stall I'm in, and people don't give me negative responses because if u do , I will gladly ignore u. So the past two days I've been eating 800 calories and today I'm going to eat less to shock my body, would love any insight on how you changed things up during a stall u had. Thanks to those listening

Plateau ...????????????????
TheNewSusie replied to gettinMeBack's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When's the last time u lost? How far out r u? A stall is when u don't lose for a few weeks, some people misinterpret a stall. Average loss with the sleeve is 1-2 pounds a week and done get upset if they don't lose for a few days and its ridicous. -
