    Low fat vs fat

You need good fats for fuel, I don't believe in low fat or fat free. Especially with low carb.

  4. Hey all, I haven't posted in a while, I was sleeved last July and I'm down 80 pounds, I'm 20-25 pounds from goal and my losses have slowed down. I know this is normal and I was also involved in a car accident over a month ago. I got diagnosed with scoliosis and horrible whip lash from my neck and shoulders to my lower back, so I can't exercise. Seems the pain gets worst the more I move. I try to walk when I can and I also work in a restaurant, always on my feet. Anyways, I'd love some advice in how to kickstart my losses again. I track on MFP and my goals are 7-900 cals., 60-80 protein, 40 or less carbs (usually less, most days) and I drink my fluids, 70-100 ounces. Main thing is I can't exercise and I'm in a lot of pain most times of the day. How did you kickstart you losses to get that last few pounds off??
  5. I was sleeved last July by Dr. Alvarez, he and his staff are amazing!! Down 80 pounds with 20 to go! He will take care of u, follow the plan and u will succeed!

    Best coffee drink poll

Nice thread,... My breakfast or lunch is almost always 3 cups of iced coffee (I have and make my own blend) 1/2 cup of mootopia )( HEB low carb milk) one scoop vanilla pro v 60, 2 tbs sf vania creamer, stevia and sf vanilla syrup . A very vanilly iced coffee to pick me up ! I also drink coffee when I wake up with sf vanilla creamer , stevia, and top it with sf whip cream! Never liked coffee this much
  9. Labrada pro v 60 is the best, no aspartame, very high quality protein. And don't use artificial stuff, use stevia sweetener and stevia liquid sweeteners, u can also visit fruitawater.com and buy some flavored syrups that r made with stevia.
  10. I used Dr. Alvarez, he is amazing! Can't wait to go to his patient reunion on May, 18!! I drove from Houston, tx- eagle Pass, tx and Rosie (the driver) picked us up the next day. I paid 8,200 but they knocked off $500 because I was driving all the way to the border and not staying in Sam Antobio and getting picked up. I am 9 months post op and I've lost 80 pounds, with 20 more to go. I went from a size 22, to a size 8. Any questions just ask. Or u can visit his website at endobariatric.com and contact Susan, his coordinator.

    Does Splenda hinder weight loss?

Splenda hindered my weight loss. I stay away from everything artificial because it clogs up your liver and hinders weight loss. I now use stevia in my tea and coffee.

Start weight, current weight, goal weight?

I'm 6 months today and down 61-62 pounds

    I have failed the sleeve

I follow these rules but every doc/nut. Is different, 6-800 calories , 64 ounces water, 30 or less fat and 40 grams if carbs. At 9-12 months (maintenance) 8-1000 calories and 65 grams of protein. I lose 10-12 pounds then stall for 3-4 weeks (which is really needed) I've lost 61 pounds in 6 months (Monday is 6 months) and I've gone from a 20/22 to a size 10/12 petite . Hope this helps, don't give up!

    QUESTION?

My doctor says the first 12 months are the most crucial. That's what I go by.

    Green shake anyone?

I went to a juice place today and tried their energy drink which was made from all organic kale, spinach, and carrots and apples, tastes like apple juice. Thinking of trying my own convictions at home so I can add in my protein powder and such. Thanks BTB
  20. I measure out 4 ounces of solid Proteins and veggies I don't measure because I barely eat a few bites. I have a scale to measure raw meats. I measure before I cook them.
  21. This is my before and after , first pic is in my sirgery room the day of surgery, the after is on New Years, something I never ever worn before!!
  22. I definitely measure everything, almost 6 months out and I weigh and measure it all.
  23. You guys make me smile so big! Thank u
