    Getting pissed

I am sorry but it sounds like your husband is a dick. I am not saying the man has to change his life forever but he could turn it down a few notches while you recover. I have no idea what your husbands weight or health is like but by the way you describe his eating habits I think this is an indicates of problems to come for you. You have embarked on a life changing journey that will hopefully lead you to a more active and happy life... If your husband does not want to at the very least support you in your new journey you will soon be on two very different paths. He may begin to become resentful because he feels left behind and/or you may also become resentful because you feel you are trying and he is not... Unfortunately divorce is very common in the years after gastric bypass. I feel very lucky that my husband although he is a heavy guy he has embraced my new healthier lifestyle and we have become even closer due to some health issues that have came up in the 21 months since I had my surgery. Maybe this will be a wake up call and you guys can start fresh from here and become a united team!

    Orange juice !

Try the Trop 50 with Calcium and Vitamin D... The whole bottle only has 350 cal's and it is thinner and less acidic than other juice. I love it!
  4. It sounds like he needs a full reversal! I have been extremely ill with ulcers that will not heal. I now have a PICC line and get TPN because I can not really eat or drink. The man who is saving my life is Dr. Erik Dutson and he is a surgeon for UCLA in Los Angeles. He sees many complicated cases and he really has a lot of compassion and understanding about how life shattering these complications can be. I need about 4 more weeks of TPN and then I will be strong enough to get my gastric bypass reversed. I will say a prayer for your fiancée.

    Reversal

I have 2 large deep ulcers that will not heal even with months of full medical treatment. Due to severe dehydration and malnutrition I have been on a PICC line getting TPN for 2 weeks. My surgeon feels I need to be on the TPN for about 4 more weeks before I am strong enough for surgery. We at first discussed a revision but he does not think I would survive another round of ulcers so I will be having a full reversal aka- takedown. I am just waiting for my final authorization so we can see if I will have it before or after Thanksgiving. I am just ready to get my life back. I have been sick since June and even though I am lucky enough to have the best husband in the world who now works from home to help care for me I am sick of being pampered and I am tired of resting! I want to get out in the world and break a sweat! I hope this note finds you feeling a lot better. I would love to hear any tips or advice you have to give on making it through this process...
