Short and sweet, I had the gastric sleeve on Jan 9th 2013. Lost all my weight, but below my goal and can’t keep anything down. Tummy hurts and has heart burn a LOT. Surgeon wants to do a GI scoop tomorrow, and possible do a Bypass revision….I am so sad…. I did not want the bypass, I was set on sleeve have had sleeve and been sick.....Need your thoughts, what do you think about your Bypass>>

I had the Sleeve on Jan 8th 2013, Now due to Bile Reflux, I have to have the RYN. Please share you experiences on how recovery went, did you have drains? How Long in Hospital, how many cuts? Anything you can add, and PLEASE PLEASE don't Sugar Coat it....I want the cold hard truth.....Thanks

I really really don't want to have the Bypass....However; I am gonna have it on NOV 21's. I am scared, and feel so Alone in this process. My husband is supportive, however; he is Done with me tired, sick and cant eat...I was sleeved Jan 2013/. he is as supportive as he can be, he has never needed to lose more than 20 lbs that will fall off if he diets for a week....I DO NOT wnt the Bypass....Please Pray for me to come to peace. I HAVE to have it due to Bile Reflux.....So Depressed, Sleeping Sleeping Sleeping......not a life right now......

yes, I have told DR, how depressed I am, he is supportive, and thinks when I feel better physically that emotional I will also. Thanks Everyone for the nice words...

NO, I have to have for Bile Reflux, I had the sleeve in Jan. I am below my goal weight can Not keep any food or Water down. I am sick all the time. I have to have the RYN to fix the Bile Reflux. I am weak and getting IV fluids about once a week now. So It is medically needed.

I am so wanting the Horror stories too...Please share.

Wow, I am sorry to hear you are going through this also. Good Luck on your bypass, and keep me posted, I will do the same....I can now say the word Bypass without Crying, so I guess that is a step..I am Scared and Depressed, and ready to start living my life again.....

just think of it this way, What is two weeks outta a life time? And I just kept reminding myself, how Many times I had over ate, way More than just two weeks...but yeah, It Sux, Best of LUCK you CAN do this!!!!

Thanks for all the input, I Had the Sleeve Jan of this year, and Gallbladder remove Feb of this year. I have not asked, Put I hope they fan do it Laperscopy, and NOT opened. How do they know how much "scar" tissue you have?

Thanks SO much for you post, that is what he said I have Bile Reflux, please lets keep in touch, They submitted the RNY to insurance on Tuesday, did you have any insurance issues...WOW, someone that has the same issue as me sorry you are going through this but We can keep in touch and help each other.

I am 10 months out and still having issues with being Nauseous and heartburn.. That is why I am having the upper GI this morning, and may have to be switched to the Bypass....It just seems like such a much bigger surgery ,I am scared.....

I have HAD no CRAVINGS at all, I have NOT even been hungry. Lost my weight and as at goal in appx 9months. I was loving my sleeve until the heart burn and stomach pain has gotten worse. Going in for a GI tomorrow to see if I have to switch to Bypass for heartburn issues. Best of Luck with you Sleeve, I loved mine until the issues with heart burn got so bad.
