    I can't explain it but my port is sore. It is not just sore right at the port but throughout my stomach in that area. Is anyone having this?? It almost feels like my muscles are sore there. Also I noticed that some people have talked about slippage. How do you know if your band slipped? Does it hurt?? I have been good about what I eat but I am scared to death to have slippage.....

    I not only told everyone I know but I also blog about my surgery on my myspace page. There are so many people that are considering it and look to my page to get some answers. I wanted all the support I could get. I had some people that didn't think I needed it but they were wrong. I am so glad I told everyone because the support I get is unreal.

    I asked my doctor who has done LB for years and is nationally known. He said this is common and that the band actually can irritate a nerve and cause the pain. It is even written in his side effects pamphlet

    I feel like I could have some today but I am only on day 3 not supposed to have it until day 4. I did have some applesauce yesterday so I could possibly go to the bathroom. It was successful. LOL I am glad I had the surgery but had some food regret yesterday. I need to think that food is fuel....I'll get there.:confused:

    Scared, not sure what I should have at home to eat afterwards. I have followed the pre-op diet and have lost 19 pounds but I am scared. Guess it is just the pre-op jitters. Is there still a group that is August banders?? I would like to join that thread so I have a few buddies to talk to about progress. Wish me luck.
