CJS what about your anatomy could they not do the laposcopic procedure? I am kinda worried that it will happen to me since they are removing all of the stomach except the pouch. The nurse who did my pre op stuff at hospital said it almost never happens that they have to open you for surgery! I sure hope he is right! Hang in there and keep us posted on how you are doing.... -

RDC, every dr. is different in what they order for each patient. I had bloodwork drawn, EKG and chest Xrays. It took maybe 30 minutes or maybe longer not really a big deal! -

I am on protein shakes and can only have 3oz of meat and 1 cup of veggies if I can't regulate my sugars. I am diabetic and take insulin. -

On day one of my pre op diet and I am already SICK of the shakes....I am having my soup tonight for supper. I am sooo ready to go into ketosis.....supposedly that is going to help with the hunger.....Does it really get easier the longer it is???? -

So hopingnomeds how HARD has it been? Starting my pre op tomorrow night and hoping I don't want to chew my arm off from being hungry.... I know it's not going to be easy but I am hoping after the second day or so it gets better? -

Start my pre-op diet the day before Thanksgiving but I had my Thanksgiving last night so while I am starving to death at least I know that I got to eat Thanksgiving dinner! LOL -

Congrats Janifer on your surgery!!!!! Brandii, still on the baby food thinking.........I would think you would need to watch the sugar so you wouldn't have any dumping...or maybe babyfood doesn't have much sugar????? My kids are older so it's been a looooonnnng time since i have looked at babyfood. Waiting on insurance approval....and waiting and waiting....I am getting impatient with all of this waitinnnngggg! -

Just finished my last nut class Wednesday and found out I have been submitted to insurance on Monday! I was soo excited to finally have progress. Talked with my bariatric nurse who said I should know something no later than 22nd of this month! -

My husband popped up and said he should resign himself to the fact that I would leave him! I couldn't believe he said that we have been married for over 20 yrs also! My surgery is for my health issues and that is the reason I am having it! I hope that it doesn't cause problems! We would go to Christian counseling if that happens! I will be praying for all of you having major issues???? -

I would worry too if I had a small one! My kids are 20 and 26 so they understand ! I was wan ting mine right before Christmas but now I am hoping for a little earlier date! In December so maybe I can eat soft foods! I don't have my date yet so we shall see! -

I don't think I will be having any anxiety til I am closer to my date! I know for sure that if I am going to go through all of the pre reason then I will go thru with the surgery ! I will be nervous the day before and the morning of! -
